We are all wondering if the skills will be like Diablo 2, or more like World of Warcraft. Will the skills go one forever? Or will they top out at 20 or 30? Jay Wilson the producer of Diablo 3 described D3 as having the D2 model system for the skills. He also described that the Nightmare and Hell difficulties are an extension of Normal difficulty. So we will be able to continue to develop our skills into the higher difficulty levels as we progress.
It seems that most of the Fans are happy with the function and form of the Barbarian's Fury resource, but nothing has been revealed about the "non-mana" resource that the Monk and Wizard will use. Jay Wilson describes the Wizard as "not being fun to run out of mana," nor is he interested in an extended resource for the Wizard.
As for the Witch Doctor mana seems to fit in just fine. The Witch Doctor has good skills to recover mana that also double as attacks. So the WD is not defenseless when he runs out of mana, he's got pets and ways to attack that aren't mana intensive.
Jay Wilson stated that "The Wizard is a vulnerable type character, so she blasts her way out and asks questions later." So running out of mana shouldn't be much of a problem. Jay wouldn't comment on the Monks resource system, considering that he's too early.

Items
New item types, will there be any? Jay answered "Yes" and wouldn't comment any further. The unique and set items will most likely make an appearance in Diablo 3, but Jay commented that "The itemization is done later in development." So it's too early to know.
The switch hotkey that was implemented in Diablo 2 LOD, has been removed. So no more switching to your BO Sticks, or other items. Jay described that the way the hotkey was used was somewhat exploited in Diablo 2. Jay Wilson Commented "Most frequently people used the hotkey by accident and wondered where the weapons went." So Blizzard is doing away with the switch system for good.
Other Things
Pertaining to PvP Jay Wilson commented that "It is pretty awesome." He also mentioned that the Diablo Team was working on it right now and that it will get announced at a future date.
We are all wondering about Mercenaries in Diablo making a reappearance. Jay wouldn't comment on the Mercenaries, because "It is still too early to talk about." Although Jay did say in the past, that he wanted to implement more "Hirelings" in D3. So it is a possibility that we could be hearing about mercenaries or "Hirelings" very soon.
Respecs will make an appearance in D3, although Blizzard has not decided what type of mechanism they will use. Jay did say "We're definitely trying to do something different than a wholesale pay a token price and get all your skills back."
In other words, it will be extremely difficult to reset stats or skills on items or maybe your character. Should prove to be interesting when we hear more.
Voice support is one of the key features of the new Battle.net, so using a microphone will be possible in Diablo 3. No more typing! Now it's even more simple to play the game, rather than type for several minutes, you can just talk to your fellow teammates.
What say you?

Oh great... Let the shit talking begin. lol. I hope the mute button is easily accessible.

It is most likely that there will be a mute/squelch option for any player in the same game as you. So I wouldn't worry about it.
As for kicking unwanted players from a game, this is still unknown.

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
I think itll be done nice, there working hard on Bnet2.0 so I think the work will go into it to start the new systens rep going. They need some good things associated with it, and I think itll be known on one end for the Voice chat.

I hope people don't get all elitist with the voice chat thing. I can picture games like "Belial run 15 MUST HAV MIC" being made. Sure, being able to talk with a mic helps reaction time and such, and it's especially useful in games like WoW that require healers and stuff working in a cohesive team, but it's annoying when people start excluding other players because of their lack of a mic.
I, for one, feel like a complete asshole talking to my computer. I'm rarely alone, so it just seems weird. So I doubt I'll be using this feature.

Voice chat? Whatever. I want a global mute button. I do not want to hear any single retard in this world that is not my friend before I get in the game. If mic starts to become a requirements by elitists morons in game, this game just died.
Think that won't happen? Look at WoW. Try to raid with a guild without a mic. Yes, I'm aware that WoW raiding is quite more complex and all: but that doesn't mean no one will demand it in D3. I sure as hell don't want that. Seriously, whats with the talking to random people anyway? People really want that? The only reason I want voice chat is for real life friends I play with, and for them, I'm going to be using ventrillo, which is 100 times better than anything games will ever come up with.

Probably the saddest comment by Blizzard so far. This is a complete joke. Will they keep on cutting features like this for the stupidest reasons they can come up with? Yes, Blizzard, all your players are morons and you must not have anything to possibly confuse them the very first time they come across it.
