    Quote from Nokturnal1

Umm.. What? Your whole rant on being level 60 bit diablo? u hit ur & ? u looses... just gives me a headache.

Just quoting this because it boggles my mind. Presumably you're saying what he wrote was confusing.. and yet you wrote that? It's like trying to decipher hieroglyphics.

I think he was commenting on how you said that you unlock Inferno when you turn level 60... which is not true. you have to be level 60, and you must have beaten Diablo on hell mode. I reached 60 before doing this and couldn't access inferno until I did.

Also, yes, it's amazing how many people are using dumb skills. But you have to keep in mind, not everyone is a hardcore diablo player or serious gamer at all. To me, saying you beat the game on Normal with 1 class means nothing. But to the average person, that means they beat the game and they're done with it. I know a lot of people like that. And there are more people still who will not even play that far into the game. Some people just don't have the time nor the desire to put as many hours into this game as we do, and we really shouldn't expect them to or look down on them for using stupid skills or not getting to inferno, maybe they're just trying to... have fun.

In other news, Diamond shards was a very useful skill back before crit mass was nerfed, because you could go back and forth spamming that and frost nova and get a lot of DPS. But now that that's been nerfed, I don't see a reason for anyone to ever use that skill again.

posted a message on Diablo III, A Disaster to Girls?
I know a lot of us are girls, or know plenty of girls that play the game. It's pretty stereotypical to assume all girls are just sitting there getting mad at their boyfriend for not paying attention though. Sadly, this stereotype is accurate a lot of the time... statistically speaking less women are into computer games like this and some seem prone to get mad at their boyfriend because they don't fully understand it - I do see a lot of pictures of girlfriends breaking their boyfriend's gamedisk on facebook.

So even though it might not accurately represent your situation, trust me, although a bit over the top this article does apply to a lot of people out there.

I, however, would never get involved with someone who did not understand how important certain games are to me. I've been playing the game whenever I get the chance, put in about 90 hours so far, and she is fine with it. I got her a copy of the game but she can't run it very well and so she hasn't played much, sadly. But she would if she could. I do play regularly with several other female friends though. Pretty much all of my female friends are either interested in Diablo, or would be understanding of someone else's desire to play. then again, I met mot of these people at a game design school, haha.

Sorry, but that'll take a couple hours tops. You'll get over it.
Well, I know I'll get over it, but it'll take longer than that. A big part of farming the items is luck. Plus, i am flat broke, it will take me quite awhile to get the 150k I need to remake the thing, then 200K to upgrade to the nightmare version. also, it's not just about the time it will take to get back, but about the time that I can now say was wasted. And i don't have much time to put into playing videogames, so even a few hours is quite a bit.

Today I disenchanted my blue 970 DPS, 100 dex, 100 vit XBOW. Pretty expensive exquisitive essence I guess.
Ouch. I have accidentally scrapped the wrong items as well. i wish there was an undo button of sorts, similar to the merchant's buy back feature.

posted a message on About making a profit in the AH
Well, what kind of items are you selling? What level are you?

Don't expect to be making some huge profit in the AH selling lower level items. Certain ones with great stats can make a lot of gold, but you don't really start raking the money in until you're selling level 60 items. In my experience, anyway.

I finally got all the ingredients together to make the staff of herding, and it took every bit of gold I had to make it. So me and a friend play through it, and decide we really want to make the nightmare version. So we do some gold farming until we've got 200K for the upgrade - and when we finally have enough, I realize, I don't have the Staff of herding.

When I was in the secret level, I was picking up everything.. my inv got full fast and I ended up just blindly dropping all of the white items in my inventory to make space. I dropped the staff of herding. So now I've got to farm all of those items again and all the gold needed... ugh, what a waste of time.

    Share your stupid experiences.

posted a message on Critical Mass Guide (Now Nerfed)
Okay, I was absolutely STUCK in Hell with my 56 wizard. I had some good DPS and could kill some things kiting, but I died constantly.

Just made the switch to this build - I must say it's amazing. I haven't gotten all my gear set up perfectly for it (only have 12 nat crit chance, attack speed could be better, my vit is still kinda low) but I'm actually progressing now, so thanks a lot for the tips and info.

Also, I switched up my gear for this build with only 40K gold. Got 1handed weapon, shield, and new gloves. It's all pretty lousy but it's working great regardless. Can't wait to get really solid gear.

Only downside... my fingers hurt like hell. I'm pretty much just constantly alternating my taping of my left and right mouse buttons with my right hand, and 1+2 on the left.

I'm using venom weapon too, and I can vouch for it's usefulness.

Dude. if the game is that horrible how the hell did you make it so far? You must have been having fun to play so damn much for 5 days straight. You can't force me to play a game that much when it sucks.

So get over it already. Even if you never want to play again, the price of the game was probably worth the utility it brought in the many hours you played it.

posted a message on Will there be ladder resets?
Yeah, I'm aware there wasn't a ladder, was just using the term 'ladder reset' to make sure people were familiar with what I was talking about.

    Thanks for the info.

Excuse me if this question has been answered a lot before, but have they given any indications of whether they plan on doing resets like they did with Diablo II, where they would periodically do a ladder reset and everyone would have to start fresh? Just curious if anyone has any info on this.

posted a message on looking to get through hell quickly
I'm a level 52 Wizard, still in Act I hell. I'm looking to get through it as quickly as possible, so I'm looking for other people who want to do the same. I'm not saying we run by everything necessarily, just that we not slow down and explore every little area.

I'm in EST and will probably be online around ~6:00PM and later on weekdays.

posted a message on how are people running more then 1 type of defensive spell...
Go to game options and check the box that says 'enable elective mode'. It will give you way more control over how you set up your skills. Blizzard really flubbed by setting that off by default, and not having any screen that tells you where to turn it on.

Also, basically every other thread on this forum is answering this question for somebody. It doesn't hurt to search.

I'm level 52 in A1 hell and have never had more than 100K. Not more than 75K for that matter.

I'm constantly spending my money upgrading my gear and stuff.

posted a message on Resubbing to WoW?
I don't play WoW. Just wanted to comment that when I saw a trailer for the new WoW expansion I thought it was a joke. I feel like blizzard is really digging deep.. I don't see why anyone would be interested in this ridiculous looking thing. I know that the panda people have appeared in warcraft before and all that, I think it looks pretty lame as a focal point of an entire expansion. I'll admit I thought Wrath of the Lich king and Cataclysm looked interesting, but this, not so much.

posted a message on Nightmare Build
That was pretty similar to my build, should get you through NM no problem. I don't know if I'd go for energy armor at that level, but with absorption you shouldn't have too much trouble with AP, so you probably won't need that signature spell. Plus, it shouldn't be too hard to get your DPS high enough that everything is dead before you run out of AP in this difficulty anyway. Give magic weapon a try.

-oh yeah, chaos nexus is the way to go for disentegrate.
