Does anyone else think they should add some kind of Reward system for PvPing?
Im not talking about anything WoW like, but im just saying maybe when you kill a player and get there Ear or what have you there is some sort of Vendor that has something for your killings?
Its just id rather have something more then Dueling, even though thats fun enough. Just thinking that Blizzard has alot more resources now then they did back with Diablo 2 they could add something different to the PvP.

Reward for PvP? Maybe. Reward for PKing? No.
That's all we need is level 70's trolling new players games to get rewards.
Hmmm...A possible Arena systems could work here, and duels that you can bet items or gold on. World pvp however, say hostility shouldn't really give a reward unless games are sorted by level and gear. also players if there is to be this type of "world" so to speak should be able to chose to enter them. As for gear gotten through pvp it would need to be balanced like gear you would get through pve (Player vs Environment).
A token system unless blizzard really worked hard on it would be very cheat able, just get your budy and let him kill you a bunch and you kill him. They could add diminishing returns like in World of Warcraft (basically you dont get points for killing the same enemy over again).
Basically for serious pvp the the only thing i can really picture is arena based matches, anything else could get down right hurtful to the games playability and reward system.
Some games are built for pvp reward systems like World of Warcraft, however in the case of pvp size matters and well building a stable pvp based system on a game world where you will only have 8 ppl would really really rough.
I guess Im not sure if reward based pvp is right for diablo now that i look back on it.
I would love to see some form of supported organized PvP and rewards are great. Arena support would be a great feature. I left D2 and moved on to Guild Wars as there was PvP support. The ears have got to stay no matter what though in my opinion.
It'd be good if you could check how many kills you have in pvp etc and maybe pvp ranking system like at 200 kills you get rank 1 etc then higher ranks the more kills you have. Also could have a way to display your current pvp rank like a small symbol next to your name or face paint or a pink fluffy bear strapped to ur back or somethin.:)

Duh... you would only get rewards from kills of your level or higher.
edit. Actually yeah I wouldn't want to see so much PVP.. reasons are straight from the game you all love WOW.. look at that shit. People whine about being underpowered or blaa blaa blaa this class is being overpowered.. it's an endless loop and really hard to get things balanced. I wouldn't want to see many abilities getting nerfed in PvM cuz of PVP.
THere should be pvp but the reward system would require lots of attention to the class balance. Perhaps there could just be the ranking system for show off.
yeah thats what i think a ranking system to show how many kills you have etc but you do NOT get anything that makes your character better your rank is only there for show
i think es saying just a small reward. to make pking a lil bit more "worth it". but not to the point of wow, where is so essential cuz u get epic stuff, therefore causing people to troll newbies.
Stats would be fine by me anyhow, Id like to see some kind of arena though, like maybe when you create your game on b.net you can choose either regular game or Arena type.
Either or, i plan on making a clan if they have some sort of better system to organize clans, and ill probably hold Duel Tournaments were the winner gets some sort of Reward anyhow.
They should it leave just like D2, i can hostile everyone and pk they're asses anytime i want... thing is, kills outside arena games dont count to pvp rank.
After you beat the game you get the option to create an arena game, arena games are different than normal games, there are no acts, just a huge battleground... player limit is increased as to encourage team duels/bets/ingame trades, whatever. And of course, kills count to the pvp rank.
By doing this pk's will be happy, duelers will be happy.. i will be happy. ;p
Get real, folks, the diablo you all knew is dead, a few years ago i said right here in this forum that D3 had a pretty good chance of being blizzard first bust (i was flamed to death ofc), and what you know, its not even beta and its already looking that way.
I'd like to see a clan system put in place, with a ladder system as well. It would also be cool to add rank names next to your character when you kill "x" ammount of people. I like the list idea where you go in and see who all you have killed. But the main thing I want to see kept in the D series is the ear's man the ear's I collected those things man lol.
But Im against rewarding people for pk...even if I did do my fair share of it.

That sounds like a great idea. Maybe they could add a list of all the ears you own too so you can show people how much youve killed someone.
