I said it once and I'll say it again. Unless you want to pay a subscription fee, Blizzard is going to rely on box sales for this game. That means they have to sell as many copies, not subscriptions as they can. If they want to also sell it on the consoles I don't understand why you would have a problem with it, just buy the PC version instead of the console version. Since they simplified the controls an XBox 360 port should be pretty easy and a PS3 version may take some work but it could happen.
Just be glad the damn thing has finally been announced and is definately going to be on PC and Mac. Don't worry about whether or not the console owners get it too. Be worried if you're not going to get it.
Alright people, who rmembers when Blizzard last tried to put a popular franchise into the console, ey? Starcraft: Ghost people, and what happened there?
I know that, and which turned out better? Console or PC, then again this is not an argument of console versus PC, I just prefer the PC better and DIablo wihtout a mouse wouldn't be the same
Blizzard isn't exactly known for their console games, unless it is on gameboy (Go Lost Vikings Go!).
Yes Diablo, Warcraft II and Starcraft were all converted for console, but they were nothing like their PC counterparts, I am not saying Blizzard should stick to PC only, if they want to branch out they will.
But Diablo 3 would be a totally different game on console, and infact Diablo was. This series is synomynous for being a click fest, some people say that is what makes it great and don't mind burning through mice.
Diablo 3 on console, I think would be more like God of War for PSP, not quite a direct transfer, probably different story controls and all that jazz.
I wouldn't could out the possiblity of seeing a Diablo title on a console some time, but I do not think it will be Diablo 3, at least not like it is on PC.
Another Diablo game on console would technically be Diablo 2 anyways.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Aren't enough buttons on the controllers for them to be able to play a game such as Diablo to the full capabilities, and would fail in comparison to that of the PC if they did get that to work.
I honestly think that it's not such a bad idea for those who don't have godly computers to play this game. A next gen console could allow the average gamer to play as well. It can't be THAT bad! You just hook up a usb keyboard and mouse then it'd be no different than a pc(or mac whatever).
I have chose 360. Although we know it would mostly be 360 and PS3 if it were going to be released on a console. But im not sure the consoles can handle this type of game. They would change it a lot before releasing it to todays consoles. Maybe just have it as a single player and coop with 3 other people. Not sure how multiplayer would work. Because we dont know how the multiplayer is for the game yet. It could be like WoW and you go into a big world. Or it could be like Diablo 2 and just join certain games.

Please correct me if im wrong
It's going to be more like Diablo 2, not a big world like WoW. If you think about it, D3 probably could work for a console..the only thing that would be confusing would be the controls, and that can be fixed by just using a keyboard/mouse.
I see no reason for it though, my guess would be the min requirements are just a notch above WoW, so I'm sure most people should be able to run D3 on their pc's. This will also be why D3 will be successful, you won't need a NASA computer to be able to run it...

Lets hope you wont need a nasa computer lol. I have a 1.6ghz laptop with a onboard graphics and im almost sure my PC wont be able to run it.
I vote not unless it's a port. Even then I don't see it happening. Blizzard is smart you see. Why my friends? Sytem requirements. You can run all their new games on a pentium 4 processor with an ok video card and like 1gb of Ram.
There is no need for these game to be on consoles. Almost anyone can run these games on their PCs. I love you Blizzard! :D:thumbsup:

well i have a 2.79ghz dell desktop and i'm pretty sure my computer will only barely be able to play it on the lowest setting. i don't wanna play it on low settings, i want awesome settings dammit! i really don't wanna shell out a couple hundred for a new graphisc card either. so... ps3 release please. *wink wink*

You put it together
Also in case you didn't know Blizzard started out making games for consoles.

"I am Shaolin-Style!"
"Monster + Explosion = Awesome!"
Always been PC only you say?
What about the PSX version then? Or the Gameboy version that never got released? =)
