WHAHAH, the mana issue got "fixed" in a way we never could have predicted.
but it seems vision quest got majorly nerfed to only give a 30% mana regen buff for 5 seconds when we use a primary skill. but it seems that all primarys will be free to cast.
(this is assuming im reading this right the translation is not good)
in addition to that our base regen will be 45 instead of 20! and that with the new primary mana regen + gear, all WDs mana problems are pretty much solved, and we have a reason to rotate skill usage witch is great.
lets do some number chrunching.
base mana regen + items
45+14+11+11 = 81 mana regen from items alone.
then add in spirutal attunement assuming 1 piece with + mana on
= 1020 mana = 10 extra mana regen (unless this passive changes.
so thats 81+10 = 91
add in the new vision quest to up that to
91 *1.3 =118
and now on top of that we are using a primary spell every 5 seconds to up the
118 regen to *1.3= 153 mana per second.
probably not enough to spam acid cloud and zombie charger all the time but its probably enough.

now, our primary spells will buff our mana regen by 30% for 5 seconds after using em and they seem to stack. they are also free!

That would be interesting (although it sounds overpowered imo). Blizzard hasn't updated their site yet so I'm not sure how trustworthy your info is.
it seems legit and teh solution is blizzard weird we will see in a couple of hours. if it is true or not.
but if my math is correct, its not possible to even get close to casting zombie charger and acid cloud all over the place with a 2 hander the regen is just way to slow even with current spiritual ttunement and blood ritual along with vision quest. seems like a major nerf unless they realise it and buffs the new VQ to atleast 50%.
cheeper spells will be possible to chain cast all day tho.

if it's true, it's a major nerf to vision quest builds which would turn me off a lot. If there was one thought in my head going into the changes, it was that I hope they don't touch builds people currently enjoy (vision quest builds).

VQ is just one passive skill. Far better that blizzard change it than try to adjust every skill relative to it's current iteration (assuming it caused problems in relation to the general re-balancing effort). Something tells me they wouldn't arbitrarily change the skill just because people currently use it.

Well there's a difference between changing how it works and nerfing how much mana regen we get from it. If the above info is true, it's a change AND a massive nerf to vision quest builds.
Maybe it's all about expectations, but I was expecting my WD to be more powerful after these changes, not less. We'll see when we get to the real notes....

Pretty much this. I HAVE to use a VQ build just to remotely compete for damage of other ranged classes and if they nerf VQ and barely boost any other abilities then I see this as "you must use pets to hide behind because you don't have any spamable nukes anymore".

do you guys wanna hear from the #1 WD in the world in HC? ok, so here's my 2c:
WD is so OP as it is. really depends on how you play it. i can tank, i can dish out solid amount of damage, and i can cc quite well. some skills are underused, i agree. but even if they buff them, WDs are still going to be a skill-based character. better players are just going to be better than most, even than most classes. so most people think WD are bad only because they are bad at playing it. so for me, no changes is ideal.

Thanks for clearing that up, I can sleep much easier now. Can I have your autograph, never thought I'd speak to the best WD in the world. I promise I won't scream like a little girl.

Even if that is you, your gear is WAY better than mine. If I had God gear I could pull it off with spiders. You have proved nothing; every class is OP with gear. Get on my level douche.

i don't get those gear just sitting around doing nothing. it's HC, we don't have RMAH. we either farm gold or farm items. play HC then you can talk to me.

Why should we care about #1 HC DPS that's too afraid to leave a1? The #2 dps guy has full cleared. Of course you have no problem in a1, a fresh lvl 60 can faceroll a1. You don't have any experience past a1 on any character (at least on that account) so your opinion has no merit backing it.

i am #34 dps. sorry you were misinformed. also, i'm pvp-doctor. i don't progress. sorry if you think diablo for me is about killing bosses. it is for other people, not me and my team.
Well from what I can tell, they have been very careful not to nerf anything and instead go about it with only buffs.
I expect our pets are going to be getting lots of love. I also expect some serious damage love to all of our primary abilities except splinters.
I also expect some love to a lot of secondary abilities that probably don't do enough damage to justify the mana cost.
I'm also wondering what they think of Spirit walk (or how almost everyone gets a version of it) and Spirit Vessel (or how no one would not use it as a passive) and how mana generation is all over the place which makes things like Vision Quest seem really broken when used with one of the few spells that convert mana into damage very well.

Oh sorry, it's "heroscore" - some made up measurement of stats that the site uses to make you feel superior.
So now your opinion matters not because of your progress in the actual game, but rather because of your merits in the non-existent pvp system? The simple fact of the matter is you have no idea how WD will fair in pvp and you have no experience with what ails WD's past the a1 cakewalk.
