Topic title says it clearly. Where are you getting resources to gear your barbarian? Any good tips for farm etc? Iam doing warden&butcher runs for some gold and crappy drops.
what have you effictively got on 'farm' a1 or a2 ???
if your comfortable with rofl stomping start running with mf gear for full runs and ull start seeing more blues/rares drop of trash mobs (even legendaries. this also helps when u have 3 of your mates with you aswell - more loot does actually drop !!!!!!!
also do you know what other classes are looking for in regards to gear to sell on the AH ?
sadly only act 1 is on farm status and i would say that i roflstomp it (i can stand in the fire/poison whatever and kill elites). iam more less aware what other classes need in terms of gearing. if you are reffering to buy cheap/sell expensive then i aam doing this when i find something interesting in the ah for good price
get 5 stacks for the nv buff before u get into the cursed hold and kill all elites / butcher with about 150% mf + see if that start imporving ur loot drops
I started diablo 3 on first day in first hour.So lts say it is 1 month behind us and i acumulated total of 30 milion gold.All of it went into my barbarian gearing . 40 % blockchance,37 k hp,17 k dps,1k all resist,76 % dmg reduction,10 k armor AND STILL i have probs act3+ ( inferno )

I'm in pretty much the exact same position as you atm, except I don't even have 40% block yet.
I've been putting off paying out the nose for legendaries for as long as I can...it seems like it's just unavoidable as I still get totally smashed in A3 even though A2 is extremely easy. I'm not looking forward to farming for a week just to buy one item (before I was averaging about 1 mil per day and buying an upgrade every other day or so), but it looks like that's the only way I'll get in to A3 since I'm so far from it right now.
I feel like I've been unlucky on drops for selling, though. The highest value item that I have sold on the AH so far was only 800k, while I have friends that have found many multi-million gold items while farming. I continue to do 5NV Kulle/Belial runs in hopes of that windfall item that will fund my entrance to A3.
funny. act 1 is extremely easy for me and act 2 is hell saly we are playing very gear dependant class. i just hope that buff to drops will help us somehow
I have been farming Warden and Butcher myself, it doesnt take too long to do and getting 5 stacks is fairly fast. There is a good gold return and tons of blues to sell, since both bosses drop 6 or so blues and 2-3 rares.
I had my 5 stack drop off for some reason when i accepted the quest in cursed hold, so I go on to the hold clear it then hit the cemetary for the crypts and get any remaining stacks and then port back to the hold.
Thaegrin thats my "strategy" as well. I destroy lvl 60 items for mats and sell the essences and everything else is just vendor trash. unless there is really good item.
I am a DH that currently has been farming act 3 inferno for about 3 weeks now.
My Barbarian friend that refuses to tank (and so cant go to act 3 with me for the most part) and uses a "ranged-barb" build has stuck to chest poping in inferno ponys solo since he has opened it (about a week after launch) he has 300+ MF with 5 stack valor and he has is own luck on the AH. I cant say for sure but all i know is that we have the same play time and yet pony farming in the long run has netted him 2mil more in gold drops alone (9.3 -7.2)
Like i said i dont know how good his drops for the AH have been, I myself stopped after the nerf. All i know is that it was enough for him to get some really good gear from AH. Yet he still farms ponys : /
Had 3mil on my monk, dumped them into barbarian as soon as scored 60 (had couple of not bad resist all/vit/str items too). Safely cruised through act 1-2 with 50K hp/11K dps/9500 armor/750ish all res + 1050 phys res. Doing 5NV Belial runs is easy, act 3 regular mobs are easy but elites are too tought to farm them reliably - i can kill some, but about 50% walk over me.
The long story short: to get through act 1-2 inferno you don't really need much cash, to farm act 3 you need some serious money.
P.S. Shame Tirael abuse ended before i had a chance to use it for my own benefits.
i am waiting for 1.03. i do have lvl 60 DH (much easier to progress than barb) but its boooooring for me. i just hope 1.03 drops will be usable in some way (other than selling to a vendor)
