Well as i remember it was a pretty big deal a while ago, they announced somewhere that tps were no longer in the game, because according to them they want the game to be even more fast paced.

Mmh, they said that? Damn. There is nothing worse than town portals to ruin the dark unsafe feeling of dungeons, though the ability to use them at checkpoints might not be so "bad", it seems like the whole game will end up revolving around checkpoints, and people stopping at every of them to go sell stuff... Not entirely sure thats good.
Yea it does sound like that but lets hope the checkpoint system doesnt dissapoint.

Dude, take a step away from your PC and calm down. I read everything you wrote properly, I just disagree with almost everything you have said thus far, as most of it makes very little sense. Apparently you didn't bother to read anything other than "it's a pointless change" from my post, and you're here crying ignorance? Ha! Good one.
You didn't just disagree, you took my argument, threw it out of a window, and made another that just doesn't work with what I said, because, again, you are -ignoring it- and all you essentially said is that, its pointless, it changes nothing, that there is no reason for this change, where there are, in my very first post.
If you wanted me to expand on that and find other things to say because you disagree (like a normal discussion), you didn't do it the right way.
And to add to why I hate your post:

It's a completely pointless change that is almost universally hated.
Says who? A big majority of the hate is completely unjustified, and is really just random hating by people that cannot see beyond their own strict expectations. Of course, I could be wrong that the majority -does not- hate the game, but you certainly can't be more right.
For your information, the use of "freakin'" doesn't mean I'm not calm, it means I have something against you.
It wasn't your opinion I was attacking. Anyway. Since we probably both feel like we're talking to a brick wall, and we just love to talk to each other, lets just leave it at that?
You guys gotta relax were just talking about the fury system, dude SFJake you must be around 9 years old if you have something against jumpman, all hes said so far are his opinions.

I know what you mean, but hey atleast its a circle now and not that stupid 3 orb thing they had.

i just dont like the concept of having to hit something a few times untill you can use ur skills but you know whatever i just want the game lolz...and you know thats pretty cool a circle not 3 orbs things that makes me really love them now :P!
lol thats cool i also hope that fury goes down pretty slow that makes barbs more of a buffer lol and speaking of buffing do other classes get to do buffs to other players or what?
I don't know if this has been mentioned, as I have only read the first two pages of this post so please forgive me if it has.
But the rage mechanic in WoW was unmanageable by Blizz. It lead to the warrior either being way too over powered or way under powered. It was unbalances because of the attribute that it fed and strived upon itself. The result was Blizz settled for way under powered.
I hope the rage mechanic in D3 is not similar in scope as that in Wow, or that the barb's combat systems in not as dependent. But I realize that D3 is not Wow, so maybe it will not. If Blizz decides to go with a completely different stat set for PvE as PvP, then it will help a great deal I think, as class to class comparison isn't as relative.

What is best in life? To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
A skill costs 1 or 2 full orbs/rings, and it can instantly regenerate the spent fury if you deal enough damage. Blizzard told us that they never want us to be out of energy.
This is different from WoW when you usually lose rage by using skills, can charge it up to use like 10 skills in a row (which has nothing to do with D3, but still :P), and use more 'advanced' numbers like 16 and 32, instead of 1 or 2 (for costs).
In Wow, dealing damage generates rage so damage regenerates rage spent. This is why at some points of tweaking you would have to sit there and auto attack. Thus, the more rage you generate, the more damage you can do, and in turn the more rage you generate so the more damage you can do...
See what I mean?

Then I want to bring up my old point: Diablo is not an MMORPG. Enemies die in seconds and your energy is maxed pretty much all the time. D2 had no energy management at all, you were maxed all the time there too, but I don't hear you complaining about the D2 Barbarian
Good point, especially for the common battles.
But with smaller foes in WoW, that was the case as well. It was in Dungeon play where it took a few minutes to down a boss or mobs where this comes into play.
The best comparison I could make is when battle the three brothers, or some sub-bosses in D2.
But this is why I hope they don't "warrior-ize" barbarians. I liked paying barbs much more than warriors. That's why I hope they don't change the basic game mechanics, at least the perceptional, too much.

The fury thing reminded me of some asian diablo-styled game: Blades&Swords. They had something similar, only by doing combos. While making lots of combos wich filled the rage meter to make special attacks. Also in fable, actully n many games.
Fury will be good when rushing.
That kind of sounds like rogues in WoW.

Probably. I have never played WoW. I always wanted to try it, but it seems that i will have to wait for it, untill i'll get better pc. On my actuall pc i cant even play simple flash games on internet... they are lagging or even cant be opened...
You have an energy bar, which is kind of like mana. You score combo points using certain moves, and then depending on how many combo points you have you can execute certain moves that will do more damage for the more combo points you have.

They use fury in the game Guild Wars and I liked it, that was kind of a Diablo inspired game too I think.
Was Guild Wars any good, i always see it at Best Buy and im it looks interesting but i always pass it up.

Besides SFJake you all need to seek help.
PS As of Bllizcon 09 the Barb still uses the 3 orb "traffic light".

Yeah, I know. But the principal is the same even if the display mechanic is different.
I did just watch a video on youtube that Blizz gave at Blizzcon I think, that looks like the rage generation mechanic will be different.
