I've played quite a bit of C&CRA 2/YR (too much abbreviation?) but haven't really played any of the other first decade stuff. At one point, I found the first decade box set at Half Price Books for $8 but when I got home to install the games I found that it was just the bonus disc and some B-movie collection disc in the box. Obviously I returned the game.
They gave me a 15% off coupon for my next purchase, but I always get 10% off anyway, so it wasn't much of a consolation for driving to/from the store. I always check my discs from Half Price Books now.
I have been playing C&C 3 and its expansion. It's definitely faster and prettier than RE2 was, but I'm not sure I'd say it's a better game(still very fun though).
I just play single player, so the balance issues with scrin's airforce isn't that big of a deal but I can see how it would be a huge pain in multi-player. I think I enjoy GDI the most.
My main gripes with C&C3 are the units that can instantly kill all garrisoned units in a building and the lack of being able to repair garrisonable buildings with an engineer like you could in RE2.
I used to play the Red Alert one. The one where you fought russia and there were tesla coils and...actually i think you fight russia and there are tesla coils in the newest one on the 360 so...ahh...
ahh then ya but i havent for a while. I should start again

My dad bought me a C&C pack of 4 discs when i was 11 i think... it had the first few installments and a bonus 90's techno cd it was cool.
Totally untrue they are strong when they get to tier 3 buildings and armored vehicules. Before that, they are pretty vulnerable
Yea, it was this one. First Red Alert I think?
