Pretty awesome looking post-apocalyptic FPS (with some third person vehicle combat) that takes place on Earth after its hit by an asteroid. Reminds me of Borderlands minus the RPG element, but there seems to be a bunch of guns, and you can give them different effects with different ammos. Huge, open world (one uncompressed version was over a terabyte big) which is always fun. My only concerns would be the repetition of colors (although that is the case with most post-apoc games and I usually end up liking them) and too much bad vehicular combat (which is obviously not a concern if it ends up being good). Its coming out this September and I've been pretty excited since I saw these 5 minutes of it. Anyone else looking forward to it?
I'm not too big on Post-Apocalyptic games. I've just gotten too used to the consistent element of, "here's a bleak landscape that's supposed to be badass. Go have fun."
It's not fun for me. I just can't get into it.

So, another monochrome shooter in a boring post-apocalyptic world with regenerating health. No offense, but thats exactly the kind of games that make feel bad saying I like shooters nowadays.
For what it actually IS it doesn't look bad, and at first glance might just have some interesting opponents and weaponry.
I am keeping an eye on it. I think the environments look great and anything post-apocalyptic is always appealing to me. I just got done watching the The Road and loved it, except for that annoying kid.
I will probably wait for the reviews before I consider getting it. Since at the moment I am just too hyped up for BF3. If Rage has a crazy cool story or something that is just too good to pass up, I might give it a go.
I personally like post-apocalyptic environments, but I can definitely see why a lot of people don't. It has to be done right or it can be boring for me. But games like Bulletstorm or Borderlands, which kind of put a twist on the graphic style normally seen in, say, Fallout 3, can be good. This game just looks beautiful in the views you can see and the crumbling city. Not to mention the possibilities that come with a legitimate open world game, which this is shaping up to be.
Yea I would say my one reservation about this game is the emphasis on vehicles, but apparently the racing is inspired by Burnout, so if its anything like Burnout with guns it'll be pretty amazing.
I don't mind post-apocalyptic settings*, but I need fantasy mixed in. It's what I'm used to. I get enough of the real world every day of my waking life.
*So long as they're not the copypastas we're seeing too often nowadays. I blame an overwhelming cultural masculine ideal. The whole "Hey look! All your civilization is gone, so now everyone has to behave like baddass punks, animals, or run-of-the-mill countercultural fanatics!" is very unflattering, unappealing, and unoriginal.
Good lord. I'm so sorry I dismissed this as a fallout ripoff.
I'm definitely in. Looks really fun.
I know right? Thats pretty much exactly my train of thought once I saw some footage of the game. And id is obviously great. Too bad their going for a T rating apparently, but it still looks pretty violent.
I was sort of hoping for some creepy moments. Like when he was walking passed that folded umbrella I wanted it to pop open for no real reason. Or when you turn a corner a group of crows fly away. Give it sort of a horror feel as well, because well it looks sort of horrifying some of the monsters.

Then again, if this wasn't labeled as a Post-Apoc game, people would interpret it as Halo: ODST V2.0.

Still, no intention of ever touching this.
