-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
OMG i just did some more research on that movie, and its true. they're making a diablo movie folks, and im pretty sure we get to see our big demon at blizzcon. w00t a victory for us.
Awesome news. I've just started posting this news far and wide on the net. Good stuff Lytus! Hopefully we get this as well as a new game!

So we've got over the problem of colour in D3. Great. Now let's argue about everything else not yet set in stone and help make this game simply great! Game on.
nothing like a shit movie to ruin a perfectly good series for you.

its being produced by Legendary Studios, this company produced great movies. Superman Returns, Lady in the Water (which i thought was great), and if that doesnt convince you, 300. its very promising.

just because a good studio is making it doesnt mean the movie will be, but usually thats the case
300 was good because Frank Miller was an executive produceron it like he was on Sin City. If you get several Blizzard (diablo) guys possible working on it to make sure its true to the series it should be fine.
I dont want some uppidy Michael Bay director git taking liberties with one of my most favourite series of all time. stupid Michael Bay making Megatron a plane just because he didnt want transformers who change size in his movie, Megatron is a modified PPK, Damnit, thats what i grew up with, not any of the dragon/plane/tank/something else stupid thats not a gun, crap people have being pulling in recent years, bloody Transformers armada/Cybertron. i only watch the 80's-90's version now because its the best.
I wasnt that big of a fan of Superman Returns and Lady in The Water, although i did enjoy Beerfest, and i think Dark Knight and The Watchmen should be good.

well, they are teamed with blizzard. WoW is also in production by this studio, so i dont have much doubt that blizzard is working along with these guys to make sure we get a quality product. after all, when has blizzard disappointed? even when SC2 was announced, they still found a way to make us happy with the awesome trailer and ingame footage.
if you notice theres no text about "Diablo" in their site, yet.
Maybe they wait for an announcement by Blizzard (not about a movie, but a game) to add their comments on it
more hope than reason was in my post
Its really a good thing that theres some hype going on that has Blizzard involved (even with the movie). Gives even more hope for real news.
And about the movie itself:
All the movies i watched from that particular studios i liked. There was good atmosphere in them (especially 300 was very well done). If theres a studio i would expect to make a good movie out of Diablo, its them. And if they work together with Blizzard, they're definitely good enough!

indeed. if they do it like 300 it will rock, im not just talking about cinematically, productionally (is that a word?) too.

I hope it's nothing like 300 but simply more consisitent with the cinematics we've seen in all Blizzard games.
do you mean along the lines of the Blizzard cinematics team just does a feature length movie themselves?

so if they are indeed making a movie, it must be going under some very thoughtful scripts and whatever the hell takes forever for a movie to be made
