I was just wondering what games everyone likes here. But I'll narrow it down to just the top three, which i guess would obviously include the Diablo series for almost everyone on this site. So just list the three best games/game series, other than Diablo, that you have played till date.
No specific genre or sequence required. I'll list mines first,
The Half-Life series, Serious Sam series (Freaking enjoyable) and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.
Half Life 2 -
Serious Sam -
Medal of Honor -

''May the Gods give you the strength and power to bear the madness which flows through our minds.''
''Zubin, I've always imagined you as a crazy raver. The kinda guy that spends all night dancing to trance music while waving glow sticks and popping ecstasy.'' - Murderface
These are not necessarily my top 3, but they deserve to be mentionned.
Unreal 1/Unreal Gold, 1998, my best coop experience and the one I have edited and modded with the most and in fact, I am working on a project on this game right now. The single best shooter in existence.
X-Com: UFO Defense, 1993, I have not known this game for a long time, but its an amazing strategy game, and there isn't a single one like it in the world.
Doom 1-2, 1993-94, mostly on the ZDoom sourceport, again, have a lot of fun modding it, still occasionally play it. Despite its age, almost no modern shooter comes even close to this one. At all.
And I have to mention C&C Renegade, 2002, the single uncontested best multiplayer experience that is pretty much dead today. Another one of its kind that gaming didn't even -dare- to try again, which makes me sad.
I -have- to add Street Fihter: 3rd Strike, 1999. Best fighting game, far, far above the oh so popular SF4.
Anybody can look at that list and have quite a good idea what kind of gamer I am.
I have to say, Serious Sam 1 and all Half-Life games are good games, too. Serious Sam is a lot of fun in coop.
Starcraft 2. I found it extremely fun to play. Casual or more serious on ladder. Even campaing is great.
Already a favorite.
Also old school games like Wolf, Doom, Duke Nukem and SNES and Master System games. Diablo 2 I guess I did play Diablo 1 a lot but I never get hardcore to it so I won´t say it as one of my top list.
@SFJake: Those early Dooms were really horrible. Used to scare the shit out of me. I used to play a lot of epic games in those times. To mention some, Heretic II, Heavy Metal: FAKK, Pharaoh etc.... but i didn't think to include them. It makes me sad to think about them as i still haven't seen a single fresh game like those old ones.
And yeah Serious Sam just might be the most enjoyable non-serious game in the whole gaming world.

Doom 1 and 2, those games just had this really special feel to them. I never got through either one without eventually using the cheat codes though. But the BFG was just too satisfying a gun to shoot. So I had to shoot it more than finding its ammo would allow me.
I wonder if any of you ever played Under a Killing Moon. That game was awesome.
One of the best looking games on PS2, by far. One of the most solid gameplay experiences of my life. Game took hours and hours to beat (on Hard mode). Puzzles were interesting, not boring - a problem with 1 and 3. Challenges were manageable but difficult (a problem with 1). Story: impeccable, if a little predictable (a problem with 3). Overall, the best in the epic series, IMO, and a really really fun game that I can play over and over again to this day.
I list these two together because they were made by the same developer (though Infantry was bought by SOE) and have almost exactly the same gameplay. I got into these games big time when I was younger (11-13). They're essentially iso or top-down shooters with a focus on variety of playstyle. Depending on which map you pick, you could be playing Alien vs Marine shooter, Mech & Tank skirmishes, Team Deathmatch, CTF, etc, etc. You could even design and host your own maps for people to play. Definitely one of the most addictive online MMO shooters I've ever played.
Infantry map(s) of choice: Mechanized Skirmish, Bug Hunt
Fallout 3
I know it's story is weaker than some of the others in the Fallout series, but it's the one that introduced me to the series. It's the one that I really connect with the most and continue to play most to this day. New Vegas is not as fun for me -- at least not yet. Partly thanks to the INCREDIBLE modding community around this game that make this game re-playable forever, essentially. I still find never-before-explored places in this game and always have fun creating new characters.
I like the graphics on that Infantry game there. I reckon I might give that a run.
Fallout 3 is a controversial game for many good reasons. Overall I liked it more than I didn't. Some of my favorite moments were exploring northwest on the map where all those radio towers were and activating those broadcast signals.
Diablo series
Metal Gear series
GTA series
Mortal Kombat series.

Red Dead Redemption: The amount of choice in this game is amazing. It being set in a western setting sets it apart quite a bit from the rest of the free roam games as well.
GoldenEye 007: Probably one of the greatest FPS and multiplayer games of it's generation.
Fallout 3: Of course.
Dragon Age: Origins: Again a game with a lot of choices to be made. Really cool story.
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion: I look at this game really not as a complete game but more of a beta for one, what the engine can do is simply amazing, can't wait for skyrim.
I'm sure there are plenty of games I'm not remembering.
Lands of Lore series
Planescape: Torment
Diablo series
Dragon Age: Origins (liked the sequel but not as much as the original)
Gothic (1 & 2) FPS:
Half-Life 2
Adventure:
Broken Sword (1 & 2 - the rest weren't as good)
Gabriel Knight 3 (yay)
RTS:
Warcraft II (simply awesome and the first ever game I played on PC)
Starcraft II
Command & Conquer 3 - Tiberian Sun
Action/3rd Person Shooters:
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Dead Space
MMORPGs:
World of Warcraft (with expansions but had most fun before them)
On consoles:
The Legend of Zelda (yes the very first one on NES)
The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past (SNES)
The Legend of Zelda - Link's Awakening (Game Boy)
Fable 2 (Xbox 360)
Assassin's Creed II (Xbox 360)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Wii - love to swing that lightsaber)
PS. Too many games to add images... and i think i should play a little less now
I have an ongoing game of that right now. Still doing stuff in The Hive. But the game requires some patience and I haven't loaded my game in a couple months. Combat and everything else is a little easier to manage than Baldur's Gate, but still wish they would've streamlined things a bit more.
The story behind Battlefield 2 is that, when it came out, I would play it LAN with my dad and his friend and there was just nothing like it (in my opinion). Just the thrill of a battle with about 32 or 64 people was enough to keep me captivated.
Diablo
Again, at the time, there was nothing that I loved more than Diablo. I'm sure you don't need me to reiterate, my reasons for loving are scattered all around the forum. It's the atmosphere, I'll just leave it at that.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Not MW2 (that's shit compared to the original MW), but this game brings back a lot of good memories for me sitting around with my friends; back then, we didn't get frustrated when we were on a losing streak, my friends weren't constantly trying to quickscope, and things were just simpler. It just brings back a lot of good memories.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
This game also brings back a lot of good memories. Back when I didn't actually play the game, my friends did and remember being fascinated just watching them play. When I finally did play, it was hard for me to let go because I didn't have a PC that could run it at the time, but my dad got a PS3 around that time and I got it for $20. Just the nostalgia alone is enough to keep me coming back. I almost always play vanilla on my PC, but if I just want to goof off, I'll completely uninstall and get some mods. Seriously, the mods alone could keep me coming back, but the warmth of nostalgia is an ethereal tether in its own right.
Dungeon Siege I
This game was good. Its sequel was shit.

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
I played a Sid Meier golf course game once. I haven't had the chance to play any Civilization games yet, but they do look pretty interesting and I love RTS/Simulation games, so I'll probably give them a whirl one day or another.

You know how I know there is a problem with this thread?
Press Control, hold it down. While holding down Control press F. Now type in, "Halo" in the blank. Nothing will come up.
Anyway~ I'll get to my list.
1. The Diablo series; out of any game, I have put the most time (and money..) in the Diablo series, and had a blast doing it. Diablo 3 will be the death of my xBox..
2. Halo Reach; what can I say, I got the legendary edition for free night of release for winning a tournament ;). Soon after I ranked 5th in the world in Banshee kills for months, in the process playing with professional Halo players. If there is one game that rivaled the fun of Diablo 2 it was Halo Reach.
3. Battlefield Bad Company 2; between the large maps, balanced vehicle combat, and the reliable shooting engine needless to say I'm pumped for Battlefield 3 this winter.. At that point BF3 will likely take 3nd place.
“We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about.” - Albert Einstein
- Diablo series. It's just what I've spent the most time on.
- Warhammer: Dark Omen. This was a truly unique game, well ahead of its time and REALLY challenging. Too bad I've never found anything like it. I've been looking for a modern day version of it, but the Total War series just doesn't cut it for me, I miss the rpg feeling. I liked how you had just one army which you would always take with you to the next levels. The King Arthur role playing game came close though, but it had too many flaws.
- Other games I enjoyed playing: Oblivion, Soldier of Fortune 2 (multiplayer), Fallout 1 and 2, Warcraft 2 and 3.
