Hey everyone while surfing the web the other day i can across a game called Cronous, its the best hack n slash game iv played since the release of D2 all those years ago and the best part is that it is a Mmorpg and its free to down load and play http://www.cronous.com/ try it out i asure you you wont be disapointed.
I've occasionally wondered how hard it is for conceptual artists to come up with new designs for monsters. Either it is really hard, or they just choose to go with the generic monster look everyone else is using.
Respect to Drizzt Do'Urden. Probably made a few speling errors. Dark Elf names are dificult to master, so I'll just call you Bob.
Saw it, nothing special.

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees
Oh man. This looks like something I would enjoy if I had the free time. It kinda looks like a God of War MMO. Maybe I will download it during spring break / summer.
I've seen you use the word grindfest before, but I don't understand it really. Do explain.
Grindfest: any game (usually a MMOG) where the only gameplay option is to go out and kill tons of monsters in order to get better equipment and to level up your character.
No story, no motivation to play other than to be able to dress up your online barbie doll with kick ass equipment. The word grind is used because the game play itself is just click and watch, with maybe a few spells and techniques thrown in to [hopefully] liven things up.
If you want to play one I'm actually playing a game called Fly for Fun right now, which is also free to play and also korean. I can't play it too often though because if I do I get sick of it really quick.

Haha! You've basically described the gameplay in Diablo. But what Diablo has that most other grindfests don't is a very rich story. So as you're playing single player for the first time, you seem to care about why you're doing the things you're doing and you pay close attention to the dialogue and nature of the quests.
But what's also interesting to me about Diablo II especially, is the unique culture that surrounds the desire for better items. It's as if there is a certain kind of reverence toward powerful runewords, torches, and annis. So much to the point that gold is rendered meaningless and only premium items are the real forms of currency in the game.
To each his own I suppose. You make me feel like an old man walking into a hip music store and I'm trying to ask the vendor where I can find some of my favorite bands and he points me to the oldies section. And I'm astounded to see that all my favorites are only like 10 cents each cause no one else wants them. My head hurts. I'm gonna go lie down for awhile.
As far as what I said is concerned, I'm not entirely against leveling up a character and getting it better equipment and skills and whatnot. It's a nice addition to a game, as long as it's balanced well.
However; the thing I look for most in a game is a good story. Graphics, gameplay, leveling are all nice extras as long as they're not broken. The problem with most of these Korean games is that they are devoid of story, and from what I've seen, horribly translated. If you try to read anything to get a sense of what's going on or why you have to do something in a game, you're treated with a string of meaningless words that sound like they were put together by a three year old.
Hence, the grind outweighs the story, and the game takes on an unbearably hollow feel.
Since I'm really into Greek Mythology...the very name of the game turns me off. The people should at least have the guts to call it Cronus, not some slight change in the word. Makes it seem cliched and not the real thing. I'm just picky with Greek Mythology though. For instance, I now refuse to watch the disney movie Hercules because they showed Hercules as Greek whereas it was really Herakles, Hercules is the Roman version.
If you're going to mention that I may as well point out that one of the character classes is Valkyrie, which is Norse mythology. I don't think this game cares much about accuracy in that regard.
So when it comes down to it, how's this game? I've been curious after reading about it? Maybe someone through a 1-10 at me?

I'm sure you enjoy playing it though, which isn't a bad thing I suppose. Maybe someone else on here will play with you, but it won't be me.
