That might be inarius all chained up right before his banishment, depending on when the vid is set.
Well according to lore Inarius was gave to Mephisto almost right away, so I dunno when that would have happened.
Well there is a moment where all the angels are voting on the fate of sanctuary, and then once decided that it is to be spared, they make a pact with a demons to let humanity choose their own destiny, whilst giving the betrayer (inarius) over to hell for mephisto to torture both as punishment to inarius and to appease the demons. so it could be during that meeting of the angels
The 100% unlock is going to be so awesome, cant wait

In this world...
Is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law?
Is it like the hand of god hovering above?
At least, it is true...
That man has no control, even over his own will.
OMG this is freaking awesome. Yes i was expecting a 3d cinematic preview but this is even better. We're not gonna get in-game stuff, but actually a side video and this it looks GOOD
Wow I hate that animation style, but I'm thankful they're making it for the story value. Just looks non-Diablo. Yes the Peter Chung lens thing is unique, but... it does NOT feel like Diablo, I have to disagree with the people in the video.
I was under the impression that it was gonna be like a 3d cinematic rather than a 2d cartoon. I'm feeling a little deflated Still cool though I guess.
if you looked at the info we posted about it, you could tell it was animated.
the info even said animated studio
I read that but I wasn't sure if it meant that they got assistance from a professional grade animation studio when creating whatever cinematic they were making. I'm fine with this because imo it's actually better because it's MORE content and not just another scrap of meat thrown at me from the game to hold me over. This is like a whole NEW meat!
I really would want to know what/who is Wrath. Does someone know?
In the prophecy of end of days it is said Imperius shall turn to Wrath. I´m not sure does that mean that Imperius will become Wrath, or Imperius will be a friend with Wrath.
And now the name of the animation is "Wrath" and Imperius is a big part of it. I bet we get something juicy.
I think Wrath could be Diablo. Another theory could be that word "Wrath" would just mean he will become evil. But I doubt it because it is written "Wrath", not "wrath". What do you think?
Well Azmodan is the Lord of Sin, and he has 7 underlings each corresponding to a deadly sin, at least I think I remember hearing that. Wrath would be one of those, but again this is just speculation.
If there is any anime in Diablo 3, I will not buy it.
How will you know without buying it and finding out? Are you going to wait until weeks after and look online or something? Or ask friends to verify?
Anyway, it's pretty silly to not buy a game because you don't like the animation style of its cinematics when they're around 0.1% of the duration of the game.
They have officially said that they're doing "storybook animation" which looks like anime to me, so see you at release? lol
an animation short? im probably one of the only ones whose completely disapointed with the 100% unlock. i was expecting something along the lines of the items page of the game guide would be updated, or a cinematic preview, or a bestiary tab on the website, or a gear preview page where you could see what different pieces of gear look like on characters. something along thongs lines.
but an animated short film? not even cgi? bleh
Unfortunately they already stated a while ago that the item page will not be updated until release. The only reasonable explanation is that there is some lore behind some of the drops that might be spoiler-y. Stats aren't spoilers as far as I'm concerned...there is nothing but positive feedback about being able to see item stats early for everything in WoW, no one would be upset if we could see them early for D3 (it doesn't ruin anything, and gives us more to do with character planning before launch). So it has to be because of item names, flavor text, or item appearances that hint at important plot points.
The cinematic preview is really was I was expecting too, but I guess it's fair to say they already did that with the Black soul stone video.
Beast tab also has serious spoiler potential. Adding the tab and showing us a preview of *some* never-before-seen monsters would be ok but I'm sure whatever features or tabs they add to the page at this point will be all-inclusive.
Gear preview would be pretty meh imo since there's already a ton of videos out there showing what gear looks like on everyone.
Omg ... that picture of the box with all the boxes ... such a tease ...
And I can't wait for the short to come out. Loved Aeon Flux, and this just sounds so incredible. I figured it would be just an intro cinematic early, this blows me away.

I can't believe it took someone a page to say this! A thousand times yes!
Yeah, I also thought it would be a cinematic type deal from Blizz, but I guess I didn't read carefully. Still looks awesome!

Still very cool...

See you on may 15th

The booky parchment style hand drawn cinematic segments are hardly anime.
IS NOT
