I saw this today on reddit on my lunch. It looks like quite a few different Diablo 3 fan sites got some beta invites. It's pretty cool that Blizzard is just sort of, giving a bunch of these sites some beta invites and they are doing their own thing with them. Makes things exciting and people work to get an invite.
I hope I get one these beta keys soon. I pretty much craving to try D3. By the time I do get the key, I will try all character, Try out there all the skills and have fun. I wish all the contestants luck. Also, here's my Barbarian build http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#aZcYeX!aVT!cYbYaY
I'm not gonna try because I never get lucky with this kind of thing. I get lucky like that once every 4 years (yes, on leap year) and I got the lucky prize with a $50 giftcard to Red Lobster from work this year.

I would like to formally protest this post contest.
1.) People are just going to create multiple accounts in order to increase their odds of getting a key.
2.) The long time members are going to get flooded out by the newbs that are ONLY contributing for the key.
3.) The influx of new members normally creates an influx of repeat topics and questions that are often retarded as they are old old old news.
There's tools we mods have to make sure there aren't multiple accounts. We've banned members before for this, even without beta key giveaways. Just sayin'!
Anyways, good luck everyone! At least the amount of keys to be distributed is large enough to have a good part of the community satisfied!
Well for once I have to agree with wit Sabvre... there are tons of "one post" Members that contribute NOTHING to the community... the thing is I think you cant circumvent this matter... even if you say "at least 10 constructive posts" people will just write @%"§ 10 times to get the keys.
Oh and definitely point 3... so many stupid topics about things that were "new" months ago. (and they were most likely already discussed <_<)
Worst problem is Curse doesn't give a fuck about us actual members. Same strategy as F2P games... aim at the newbies rather than retain the oldbies. More people means more people that can accidentally or intentionally click on the banners/ ads.. means more people that bring them money.
Curse you Curse... enjoy screwing over your longtime forum goers :Thumbs Up:
Haha. But seriously, this should be interesting to see the effect on these forums. I've seen such an increase in traffic here since the announcement, and an awful lot of oddly constructive posts since the contest started. It's been fun!
EDIT: the first of the many questions is done rather. Dont mean to make it sound like the contest is over. keep on trying.
