I don't buy into the "Milking it for more WoW subscription time" conspiracy theory crap.
They do, however, treat their fans and, oh yeah, customers, like total shit way too much though. Do we get an explanation? No, it's always just "it'll be ready when it's ready". I like that they know they can do wtf they want because we'll still buy it. Must be nice. Good business model too.
I was actually becoming disappointed with some of the things they had revealed but despaired that they could be changed in time. Now I am still sad that the game is delayed by look forward to the improvements that they will now be able to implement.

If that made sense to you, Bravo! I think I even confused myself...
You cant blame them saying its coming out in 2012, its just not ready. Maybe you could blame them for not giving an official release date far enough in advance. It would be interesting to see the average time between official release date announcements and actual release, as compared to other companies.
I'm not as upset as I am glad that they're actually serious about making this the best game they can. I'd much rather get an amazing game rather than something that was pushed out just to appease the people who are most vocal about getting this game as soon as possible. We all want a good game and I'm sure Blizzard will go to any lengths to make that happen.
tl;dr Patience is a virtue.

I'm not in the beta, so I don't know how extensive the bugs are, but judging from the play throughs of the press/media and the F&F mocking/bragging how they took the blunt of the bugs so press/media can have a smooth play through, the game is looking pretty solid.
We all know Blizzard isn't afraid of patching their games if there's a problem. They don't abandon their games as soon as release comes. They like to have customer loyalty. With that being said, I really don't have a problem with them releasing the game early and patching it later because they're going to do that anyways; buggy or not.
However, recently, we also all know that they had to change the entire demon hunter resource mechanics and skills because the feedback was definitely not what they were expecting. They thought they had made a really solid class and it turns out not a lot of people liked it. This might had been an eye opener for them. Also with that, the rune system also changed simply by people discussing their concerns. There are now also concerns about the items.
My guess is that they want to extend the beta and in a later date give more content so they really do release a game that is enjoyable, not cause it's bug free, but because just down right fun. I honestly did not expect them to push it back, but after seeing all these changes and complaints cause of the non-NDA, I was kind of expecting it. Still sucks for me though, cause I don't mind if D3 was a shitty release at first. I have faith they'll make it fun no matter what. Stock holders don't feel the same way though
It's horrible to release games in December; I'm always busy, and also traveling. Early January is the bestest, though. College kids on break then, too.
To put it short and simple, I've waited a long time for this, roughly 10.5 years, so what's another few months?
If they feel they have to push the release a few months in order to deliver a product they feel satisfy our need, so be it. I'd rather that, than get a half finished product that would under no circumstance live up to the expectations that is Diablo 3.
Besides, this way I get to spend Christmas with my family instead of my computer

Hey I made a site http://www.diablo3skills.net/ which includes all skills and runestone effects on those skills. Since you site is on D3 News would you want to link up our sites?
During the podcast Force was talking about how Wizards would want to find the weapons with the highest base damage because it would give them the highest spell damage. While this is correct, high base damage does not mean high damage per second.
I want to leave this here in hopes that someone will inform the podcast guys that Wizards and Witchdoctors will not simply want to find the weapon with the highest base damage. Instead they will want to find the weapon with the highest DPS just like the other classes.
Can't say I'm looking forward to the longer wait but then again, I was expecting december and that's final time. at least now I won't have to worry about finding time for both cramming and slaying demons.

I agree with feminism. I don't think that it's right that for every dollar a man makes, a women gets 70 cents. Why do I only get 30 cents and some chick gets the rest?
We all know Blizzard is going to patch the crap out of this game in the first month (if not days) of its release, regardless of how good they think it is now. Once they release the game to the masses they'll realize that something that they thought was a great idea, isn't. They'll scramble to fix it and send us as many patches as it takes to make the majority happy. So give us our game now and get on with this old Blizzard story already.

If blizzard just hired more help, they could put games out faster/on time... and make more money in the long run.. plus it would keep their customers happy as well as make them selves look reliable for doing what they say...
