Blizzard has just announced that the musical awesomeness of Tenacious D (Jack Black and Kyle Gass) will be doing the end-of-the-Con concert this year.

We're awestruck to announce that Tenacious D, the greatest band in the history of the world, will take the stage at BlizzCon 2010 to close out two days of epic entertainment!
Although tickets to the convention are sold out, you can still catch all of the panels and events, including Tenacious D's performance, with BlizzCon Virtual Ticket. ( http://blizzcon.rayv.com/ ) online or via DIRECTV in the United States. The Virtual Ticket multi-channel Internet stream allows viewers to switch between multiple channels of live HD coverage dedicated to different areas of the show.
It balances out. I get even more glad that I'm not!
Jack Black is seriously the epitomy of the phrase "douche bag." He is a horrible artist. A horrible song writer. A horrible comedian... and just outright sucks. The whole fact that they are bringing him to blizzcon makes me doubt Blizzard.
I don't know much about Tenacious D and Jack Black, but I'm sure you Sabvre are doing much, much than the guy, so go there and show him how it's done!
?
Doing more than Jack Black or Scyber? If it was Scyber I wasn't disrespecting him I was disrespecting Jack Black. That man is worthless (Jack Black is Tenacious D)
This sucks I have the virtual ticket and i ahve to wait two days to have my sale you can bet your ass I'm buying the 2011 Diablo calendar. Which is the only Diablo Blizzcon sale product....wtf is that?

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
Tenacious D is one of those artists every one has on their Ipod but the second the songs come on you skip the tracks. It would be hard to top ozzy last year any way. When you think about it there is no artist they could bring and make everyone happy.
I think Tenacious D is a better fit for Blizzcon than Ozzy. Personally I like Tenacious D more ejoyable than Ozzy, but it seems that others don't really share my opinion. I must admit I don't know a lot of T D (to abbreviate a bit), but I do think they're more laid back than Ozzy (whose songs I barely know). I don't think Ozzy was happy last year when only a fraction of the attendees knew his songs.
Never heard of these guys lol and everyone is like so happy. lol.

that's it. the best! from their movie "The Pick of Destiny". especially the Devil's jam is AWESOME! wouldnt be surprised if they play this at Blizzcon and have the Devil be dressed as Diablo
The guys I played D1 and D2 with all my highschool years, from the day it came out, we were listening to Tenacious D. We knew every single word to every song and eventually, we formed a cover band of Dispatch and Tenacious D. There is a pretty tight history of Diablo fans listening to Tenacious D.
Also, I think it's hilarious that Blizzard would pick Tenacious D, a band whose entire premise is a satire of themselves, to play at con. Rage and Kage are exactly what the stereotypical D3 player will look like after the first month (overweight, unkempt) with a similar amount of excessive enthusiasm (about D3 as opposed to rock). I also bet Bashiok had something to do with the D getting chosen. He definitely shares their sense of humor.

In addition, the 48-hour pre-BlizzCon sale is supposed to be starting today granted there are no more issues.

Second, you gotta be kidding me. The guy from the movie School of Rock?
Wow...just...wow...

Well, I think the Diablo team could get some good inspiration from him getting ripped apart by BlizzCon attendees.
