I shouldn't be too busy the day that this game is released so I will probably buy it on the 27th--as I have said before, if for no other reason than to hear the music... I was wondering what anyone thought of the various download options or had any speculation as to whether any of the pc download options on the 27th would allow me to reinstall on my mac [portion of my hard drive] when the mac version is released...
I currently am using a Mac Book Pro and while I already have to reboot in Vista via boot camp anytime I want to play a [non-Blizzard] game, it would be nice to not have to do that if the game manages to keep my attention from the time of the PC release to the time of the Mac release.
Is anyone worried about the 400 MB size of the game as well (system requirements)?
I don't remember the last game that fit on a standard CD-rom. For comparative purposes, the last game I purchased (on steam) was The Witcher and that takes up the majority of my Boot Camp partition with its 18 gigs or so of data...

There are ways to put a huge amount of information into a small amount of space. It's just usually counterproductive these days since most people have huge hard drives anyway, and carriers (CD's/DVD's) are not that expensive.
Sacred 2 is 12 gigs. I'm sure that's unnecessary. TQ is much smaller but the amount of content is essentially the same.
Titan Quest Gold (the game and the expansion) is $20... Lol. You might as well buy that if you're looking for a good Diablo clone to make the wait for D3 easier.
How can I feel like a badass in an RPG if I look like Elmer Fudd?
So you do feel like a "badass" in the game you recommend (Titan Quest) where you run around in a skirt? Anyways, no worries, there will probably be a super-bloody mod of Torchlight within a few weeks of release, if not dozens within a few days.
The MMO will be the same style of gameplay as the single player version. But unlike the single player version, it will have a large overworld.
It will be without a monthly fee, with microtransactions supporting the game. You'll be able to buy cosmetic upgrades for your character (probably clothes, hairstyles, mounts, etc.), or potions that give temporary boosts to experience gained, or stuff like that. But the developers don't want you to be able to buy unfair advantages over non-paying players, so you can't buy equipment with stats superior to what anyone can find.
Thanks for the link... man im really liking these videos... notice the background music its so d2'ish!
I going to download this game when its out, and then if its good i will buy it to play online.
i preordered it mostly because of the music
i wish d3 sounded so good

I'm afraid it's single player only for the time being. It's a shame. But I think it'll be worth the cost anyway.

Haven't seen you round' here in forever.
Anyways, I'll probably buy this one, if it's anything like FATE, then it will be a pretty solid diablo clone.
And it will most likely be a lot like FATE, given that Travis Baldree, the creator of FATE, is the president of Runic Games.
