I'm a complete idiot when it comes to hardware and where to shop online. I have $200 extra, and I want to just add something better to my computer. Both the processor and graphics card are massively out of date. I don't actually have my computer with me ATM, I'm away from home, but any good advice? I *think* my processor is an Intel Celleron something, and my graphics card *might* be an... Ugh... Radeon 9500 Pro Family series?
Anyway, for my sanity, and to reduce the amount of possible e-pride battles in here, please try to keep technobabble to a minimum, I have very little understanding of it. Thanks to anyone that replies, I might get back to this thread tomorrow or the next day.
It's not that simple. $200 isn't enough to upgrade because it won't cover the cost of the parts you need. First and foremost, you'd need a new motherboard, which also means a new processor and more than likely, new memory. These upgrades would be completely pointless without the upgraded graphics to go along with it.
Your best bet is to put the money in a savings account and keep adding to it until you have around $600. When you do, let me know and I'll tell you what you should do with it.
