I would highly consider a cheap I5 CPU over the AMD. In most Game related Benchmarks Intel beats the shit outta AMD and a decent i5/1150socket Mobo Combo isnt much more expensive compared to AMD. A friend of mine got recently an [email protected],2([email protected],4) with an MSI Z97 PC Mate Mainboard for less then 300euro. 8gb of 1600 DDR3 is like 70euros.
@entro you're the man! i read a lot this last week about hardware and ask in every place i could, lucky me. i found a ud3p in stock so i'm going for it + hyper 212 evo so i can oc a little bit, if i can get the ssd (850evo) i'm going for it but i'm not purchasing the kingston (too many bad reviews and comments about it)
@shina Intel is not an option here, the price difference is huge (in argentina at least) so i can't even look at them, plus i'm not the biggest gamer anymore and i don't edit video so i think amd would do it the review already read it btw! but thanks a lot for your time!
I'm gonna update when i have everything installed, i hope i had everything here for season 3 launch day
Well everything went bad but now i'm back on the game.
The mother came glitched (?) from the go, wouldn't give video on my vga, tried everything, tested all the hard on another mother, no issues at all. Returned the mother and got it back with a new bios and now is working perfect.
- Aerocool GT Advance (mid tower cheap but decent)
- Seasonic M2II 520W (40A on 12v)
- M5A97 R2.0 (couldn't get the gigabyte, still this one is decent enough for my Vstock OC)
- Fx-6300 (need maintenance for OC lol)
- 2x4gb Gskill sniper at 2133mhz
- SSD Samsung 850EVO 120gb (win7 + D3, half free)
- WD Black 500GB (games n'stuff)
- WD Green 2TB (Multimedia)
- XFX HD7750 (old vga, couldn't afford an upg lol)
I'm getting 60/70fps most of the time while playing alone, solid 30/40 playing with 4man on G45s. Almost no-loading screens whatsoever. W7 boot in like 5sec. or so.
Pretty happy i wouldn't lie haha! thanks to everyone who cheaped in with knowledge or opinions!
I'd choose Intel i5 (for example 3570k (you can OC it if you want)) over FX-6300, because it even loses against Pentium G series dual core CPU.. Overclocking your AMD won't help much.
But if I were you, i'd get non-overclockable i5 4670 or even i5 4440, difference will be only ~2 FPS in games between these two. Get cheapest 1600 MHz RAM, because you won't see any difference with RAM with higher clock speed. Aerocool cases are garbage.
So in my mind this build would be better:
- Corsair SPEC-01 case;
- i5 4440 (or other i5 (even older generation will do the job)) CPU;
- Any H97 chipset motherboard;
- Any 1600 MHz RAM (even Crucial Ballistix would be great);
- Cheaper SSD, like Crucial MX100;
smaller capacity HDD's etc. and you'll have money for GPU upgrade, I'd take a look at GTX 750 Ti, GTX 960 or R9 285. They are pretty cheap atm. With this build D3 will fly even on Ultra settings.
I'm playing on Ultra 60-100 fps with FX 8350, HD 7870 XT and 8 GB of 1600 MHz RAM. Other games runs well on high settings too.
