Hi, so I found this item and I am not sure what to enchant..
At first glance it seems simple – enchant life on hit to become +10% damage.
However I think that is the wrong thing and am thinking about rerolling the lightning damage!
The reason being is two fold
I can get a higher damage roll (although probably won’t give more damage than a +10% damage enchant
I can change the elemental damage to fit either an Archon build (roll arcane damage) or to fit a frozen orb build (roll cold damage)
The second point is the big thing here but I don’t know how to calculate if it will be better for me or not.
I think that Blizzard has said that elemental damage on weapons is not being calculated correctly – needs to be a fix on it.
Am I wrong to think that rerolling the lightning damage to fit a specific elemental build is the better option?
Unless I'm very much mistaken, the lightning damage is a guaranteed affix of a Thunderfury, and thus you are not able to reroll it. Only the Life Per Hit or the Chance To Immobilize would be rerollable?
You can re-roll the damage type, but honestly for a wizard, it won't matter. Every wizard skill wholly replaces your weapon element with the element of the skill being used. Even 'physical' skills did this, but I think those all got changed to a different element for wizards in RoS.
If anything, you want a different element than your spells if you ever want to use the passive "Elemental Exposure," as the skill claims that your weapon element counts toward the 5% damage-taken debuff.
You can re-roll the damage affix for a higher roll and probably net around 30-40 damage (42-56 dps), or you can re-roll the life on hit into another damage stat if you don't need the healing. Currently, +% damage mods are bugged to be horrible for weapons that deal elemental damage, but this should be fixed at some point in the future.
Increased attack speed will be a bigger DPS increase for the time being and works well with wizard sources. However, this DPS comes with increased arcane power costs.
So if I use frozen orb and have a bunch of cold damage % on other items ,won't it be better to change my elemental damage on my thunderfury to cold Damage?

No, because your damage is converted to cold anyway via the ability the only thing people are saying about damage atm is "black" damage, which is just pure physical is the only one gaining from the % damage affix that you can roll on weapons but blues have posted saying that this is a bug and will be fixed in an upcoming patch. You want to reroll the life per hit on that as right now that stat is more than worthless imo and aim to roll attack speed.
I have a question for you, when they fix % damage on weapons with elemental, will it be the best choice to roll over the attack speed in terms of damage increase(10% dmg vs 7% as), Specifically in the case of this fellows thunderfury?
