If the same amount of experience to get to paragon 100 could be gained within say 5 hours of playing RoS... then I might not Plvl now and save my strength

Couldn't that model just be from the Legendary item that the one Blizzard employee was talking about earlier?
"There will also be some items that exist just because they are cool. For example The Cow King's Halberd is one that I made just because I wanted to make something that captured a really cool element from D2. It deal's lightning damage (and yes elemental damage types have effects associated with them now) because it's a nod to the Cow King himself and also has a chance to summon a herd of murderous cows to fight with you. That effect isn't really changing any gameplay... but cmon it's just awesome!"
thats what I thought - but this is 100% NOT the case. The models are named the same as the models for the first secret level

Every legendary shown said "bound to account", that's a complete fail and not listening to the community at all. Just remove the Auction House if you install the expansion and call it a day.
p.s. In order to comment on the youtube video, i had to remove the words "Auction House". Wow...
p.p.s I called loot 2.0 with the expac a few weeks back.
The AH was a solution to the Botting Spam and 3rd Party sites scamming people. It is still needed for that purpose so it should never be removed - but the BEST items in the game should only be able to be found not bought/traded! A BOA model is that solution to the issue that the AH created. BOTH need to Co-exist
I couldn't disagree more, it was implemented so blizzard got more of the profit pie after the initial sale. It's their own fault for giving gold a "value". People had NO problems trading for 13 years and counting in diablo 2. If you went through a 3rd party site, that was a RISK you were either Dumb enough or Brave enough to attempt. BOA is completely ludicrous, how am i supposed to trade with my friends?
Diablo is a loot FINDING game.. so I think FINDING the BEST items is what makes the most sense in Diablo. Diablo is not a loot BUYING/TRADING game.. to me anyway. FINDING is a lot more exciting than Trading..
I concur, i am not a pro AH advocate by any means, I'm merely saying: Get rid of the Ever Increasing inflation machine.
*edit* - while still allowing me to trade stuff i dont need to my friends who might.

I would have been fine, ecstatic, if it were just a normal in-game gold based AH. But like the OP said, Blizzard "legalizing" the ability to spend cash for items... that's a deal breaker. Sorry, but I just may not play the game for this very one reason. QQ and tell me to get over it, I don't care. You are the ones that will end up spending money on virtual items, and I'll be the one LOL'ing at you in the end.
How will I be spending money? I will be free rolling in a real money AH? Eventually being able to get free games from blizzards store. While I LOL at you buying future games from your local store...
Good luck accomplishing that. I'll laugh at all of you when you start to QQ because you can't compete against chink farmers. You will most likely miss 2-3 Blizzard releases (which take 5+ years to launch) by the time you gather enough money to buy a game. Unless, of course, you are one of those dumb ***** that will sell a godly useful item just for profit instead of saving it for your own chars.

Lets say I have two gear sets for a Meteor Comet Build.. what is the better option (damage wise)
Gear Set 1: 1000 Weapon Damage, 40% crit chance, 400% crit hit damage(Emerald in Weapon), 7000 intelligence, +30% cold Damage
Or
Gear Set 2: 1200 Weapon Damage(Ruby in Weapon + Damage affix on Rings/amulet/Source),15% crit chance, 150% crit Damage, 6000intelligence, +60% Cold Damage, +40% Meteor Damage

What if I didn’t care tostack crit chance and crit damage as the main things?
What if I instead focused on having my items roll +% elemental damage, +%skill Damage, +Damage, +% Damage on weapons and put a Ruby in Weapon Socket...
My thinking is that let say I wanted to make a Meteor Build (Comet Rune)- I want to synergise with the Tal Rasha 4 piece bonus!
It does about 390% weapon damage when cast.
Now let’s say I have of +100%cold damage and +30% Meteor skill damage
Here is where I am no maths expert... but would that make the skill do 390 x 2.0 x 1.3= 1014% weapon damage.
Now the higher my weapon damage from the stats on my weapon, offhand, rings, amulet and Ruby in Weapon would also help a lot.
So.. am I crazy to think that this is a better idea to prioritise rather than always trying to have at least 40% crit and 400% crit damage?
Thanks to all the smart people who can put me straight

After they nerfer arcane orb, I made up a new build that relies on the reapers wraps item. It is a pure cold build that uses metor and it may not be the most efficient but I love it. See my profile if you want http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/CheehC-6200/hero/31043839

Probably not, but just checking as it would be pretty awesome if it did...

At first glance it seems simple – enchant life on hit to become +10% damage.
However I think that is the wrong thing and am thinking about rerolling the lightning damage!
The reason being is two fold
I think that Blizzard has said that elemental damage on weapons is not being calculated correctly – needs to be a fix on it.
Am I wrong to think that rerolling the lightning damage to fit a specific elemental build is the better option?

Are their any items that you cannot earn from gambling blood shards?
0
I think they should revisit that as that comment by Bashiok was meant more for the grind of level 1-60 gearing where you are rapidly going up the gear levels. They didn't test this heavily in the 'end game' as they admitted they barely tested inferno.. but they saw the difficulty of inferno and 'doubled it' just before launch.. just to make sure it was hard enough..
I agree with Ruksak that it should be an enchantable affix and it should be completely separate. In fact it should feel almost mandatory to socket your weapon or helm or legendary armour - but it should come at a cost... blood shards maybe...
I also think Crit hit damage% gems should be scaled down in how much they offer so that the others are a bit more competitive...

2 - Ok thought that might be the case
3-4 - yeah was just listing stuff at about the story line at that point
5 - Maltheal is the aspect of Wisdom that was born out of the crystal Arch not the aspect of death ( no such thing in the lore) he just proclaimed himself death ...Tyreal is still the Aspect of Justice not Wisdom.
I still think Lilith will be the next expansion boss and that we will see all the lords of hell again at one point... i think there could be more than 1 more expansion...

There were a few things with the story that I didn't seem to understand:
1) Why did Maltheal destroy the dark soul stone to release them from their prison but incorporate them into his being- That does not seem smart or the way to end the eternal conflict.. so wtf?
2) How did Tyreals sword pass through Tyreal in the opening cinematic? his actions were FAR from righteous (if the reason it passed through him was because the Sword of justice thought his actions were just) ...Genocide of a race (nephalem) is for the greater good?Or did it just pass through him because he was death itself and only we could kill him because we inherited some death powers before we killed him?
3)I was expecting to see something about the Angris council after the fight.. Imperious and/or Tyreal
4)Looks like the next expansion will involve Inarius and Lilith (as we found all the Maltheal lore books in Act4 and all the inarius and lilith books in Act 5)
5) Maltheals essence is not destroyed and I am guessing 1 of two things might happen in future. Either Maltheal will be reborn out of the Crystal Arch. OR Deckard Cain will be reborn out of the crystal arch as the new Arch Angel of Wisdom .. BOOM
I felt their were loose ends that were not tied up and I wasdisappointedwith Maltheal for not being smarter (since he is wisdom).. at least he didn't tell us his plans as much like Azmodan and Diablo did constantly...

For instance, I use Frozen Orb as my main skill and I don't want to know my 'DPS' - i want to know what my damage output is with one Frozen Orb. Further more.. when I have two items to compare i want to see how it will effect my Frozen Orb damage. (I do not care about Attack speed!)
Example - I have a weapon with say some crit chance and crit damage on it. I have another weapon with +Cold Damage% and +Arcane Orb Damage.
Now the tool-tip will currently say the first weapon is the best to raise my DPS (since the other affixes are not factored into it). I want to know what the better option is for my frozen orb skill.
Is stacking +cold damage% and Arcane orb damage % for a Wizard who uses frozen orb better than stacking crit hit chance and crit hit damage?
I think it would be great to have some customisation on how the tooltip displays its 'damage' or 'toughness'.
I wish that I could put more emphasis on All resist into the calculation than Vitality.
I am no math expert (which is why I am not putting any math in this post :p) but surely someone can think of some good customisations they would like to make to the tooltip so it doesn't have to be done outside the game on spreadsheet.. yuck!
