I have a question for you, when they fix % damage on weapons with elemental, will it be the best choice to roll over the attack speed in terms of damage increase(10% dmg vs 7% as), Specifically in the case of this fellows thunderfury?
Hey everyone! I'm looking for someone that knows how all the numbers work in D3 to help me compare 2 great items. It might take quite a bit of calculation so if you're up to the challenge any help would be immensely appreciated!
To start off, I play a Barb and I use Whirlwind (Wind Sheer) which is a lightning skill so I greatly benefit from +Lightning Skill Damage.
So my question is thus. Which of these 2 items does more damage to elites while using the lightning skill Whirlwind (With Wind Sheer)
Up first we have a yellow ring with these stats
Yellow Ring
393 Str
5% AS
43% Crit dmg
5% Crit Chance
Overall Stats with Yellow Ring Damage to Elites - 0% AS from items - 39%
Crit Hit Chance - 45%
Crit Hit Damage - 447%
Overall Lightning dmg to lightning skills - 32%
Stone of Jordan
18% Lightning Skills
433 Str
27% Elite DMG
Overall Stats with SoJ
Damage to Elites - 27%
AS from items - 34%
Crit Hit Chance - 40.50%
Crit Hit Damage - 404%
Overall Lightning dmg to lightning skills - 46%
According to Blizzard's damage calculation which doesn't take into account 18% lightning and 27% elite dmg, I gain roughly 15-18.7% damage increase from the yellow ring
If there are any numbers I forgot please let me know!
