If you could add a Trait to the game, what would it be? What would it do? We already know that a lot of the traits that we saw in the BlizzCon 2010 build won't be in the final game (like increased damage vs. undead, etc.) so it should be fair to assume that there will be plenty of cool Traits we haven't seen yet. What would you like to see?

Mine is for the Witch Doctor:
Death Rattle
Ranks: 1 When the Witch Doctor inevitably succumbs to death, his/her spirit lashes out, dealing Arcane damage to all nearby enemies.
''You keep it''
Ranks: 3 10% per rank chance to passively throw projectiles back at enemies
another Barbarian OR Monk?
''I must go on''
Ranks: 3 4% per rank X 1 per percent below 33% your health is ( maximum 396%) damage is added to your attacks when your health is below 33% ( you would only get the 396% if you were at 1% of your maximum health)
( as much as i hate weapon specific things, I thought this fit)
Monk: ''Walk lightly, and carry a big stick''
Ranks: 3 120% damage to all attacks ( Per rank )(Maximum 360) when using a staff when your health is atleast 95% or higher

With each electrical attack there is a 5% chance that your next attack will get +20% damage. This can fold until capped at +%200 damage, and is reset when resource runs out, or after 15 seconds that no +% buff is rolled.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if there are weapon-specific traits in the final game, as it obviously limits gearing options and I don't think Blizz wants to do that. Nice name though.

There might be an issue with this one...I definitely like the idea, but if the damage buff gets expended when the next spell is cast, but the buff also stacks when casting electrical spells, do electrical spells not benefit from the damage buff and only add to the stacks? Or how would you work that? Also, you have 3 ranks - would you have the %chance, the damage buff, or the duration (or some combination) increase per rank?

Yeah I was afraid I deluded the description a bit. I was trying to keep it short lol. It would be strictly for electrical attacks. At level one, each electrical attack cast would roll a 5% chance of gaining the +20% damage buff. You would have 15 seconds to roll another 5% buff, now you'd have +40% damage. If the 15 seconds ran out, or you ran out of Arcane Power all the buffs would reset.
Level two would raise the timer to 20 seconds, with a 7.5% chance to roll, and a 30% buff. Level three would be a 30 second timer, 10% chance to roll, and a 40% buff.
Would need massive balancing I'm sure lol. Meh, I'ma playin' a Barb anywayy!! :Thumbs Up:

Sorry but it pains me to see "Speak softly and carry a big stick" misquoted, even if you were messing with it to make it humorous. It sounds better with "Speak softly" anywho.

I think you're thinking of skills :P. It'd be an awesome skill, but traits in Diablo III are like passive skills in Diablo II. They wouldn't be something you could activate.

If anyone 'misquoted' it, it was Roosevelt. But I believe the author of that trait idea was quoting him, so it's not a misquote, as it was adapted by TR for his own uses.
Relentless Assault - The Barbarian has a chance after killing an enemy with a critical strike to enter a frenzy state, that makes all his moves cost half of their rage for a short period of time.
ranks 2 - Increased duration.
Witch Doctor
Voodoo Magic - the Witch Doctor's magic attack spells have a small chance to daze your targets in a small circular radius for 2 seconds.
ranks 3 - Increased radius

"The Jerkstore called: They're running out of YOU!"
Class: Monk
Name: Spirit Walk
Ranks: 3
Effect: Increases the Monks movement speed by 10/20/30 percent, while decreases pathing size by 15/30/45 percent allowing the Monk to get out of tight situation easier.
When damage is taken that reduces the Barbarian's health below 35%, he becomes immune for a short time to all movement-impairing effects, allowing a hasty retreat. In addition, his resolve allows him to move through and in-between enemies unhindered for the duration of this buff.
Unstoppable force
When damage is taken that reduces the Barbarian's health below 35%, the Barbarian has a 5/10/15% chance to become enraged, regenerating 30% of his maximum health, as well as reducing the cost of all abilities to 0 for 5/7/10 seconds.
Immovable Object
When damage is taken that reduces the Barbarian's health below 35%, he becomes an immovable object, increasing block and dodge chances substantially, as well as the amount of damage blocked. He also takes 50% less damage for the duration of this effect, but he cannot move until it wears off.
'Out of my way!'
Ranks: 3 Passively Deals 15% Per rank of normal attack damage to enemies you run into when your running ( and maybe knock back or stun)
maybe add a rage or fury requirement? but is still passive
Barbarian
'Burning Hate!'
Ranks: 1 15% chance to set enemies on fire, when doing shouts
Monk Counter-Punch
Ranks:5 After successfully dodging an attack, the Monk has a 5/10/15/20/25% chance to retaliate, dealing a/b/c/d/e damage (fairly small) and knocking the enemy back.
Witch Doc
Shishkabob
