Hello D3 players. I tried to play D3 some but I feel like I missed something:
What is the point in D3? You gather resources and buy/grind gear with it but why do you do it? To kill monsters faster? I mean I have played WoW too and I can say you can find some point in it but... grinding untill you are full legendary seems awkward and there is so little social interaction (at least in public games I dont know the rest) the lore is also weak and shallow.
My n1 question is: İs this game is about killing monsters faster?

Ok, that was such an obvious joke to make. By the way, to answer the OP's question. Yes, Diablo (the franchise) is all about grinding, loot high quality stuff and improve you characters just to kill and farm faster or gear up for some PvP. For some players this is enough to be entertained for others it isn't, and that's the reason you hear complains about D3 not having a proper end-game (In before adding Raids to make them happy... the horror).
Except there is still no PvP in D3 more than a year after release. In D2 you could have fun with duels/ FFA/ PKing and all sorts of stuff even if you weren't into MF/ Baalruns
The grind, as far as XP and MF'ing.......was so one dimensional and repetitive though. So D2 had the 'wild-west' PvP and PK'ing (which was great) but it had shit for an entertaining grind.
D3 has a great foundation set up for a dynamic, entertaining grind experience for the player. It lacks PvP and that 'wild-west' feel.
The important thing here is; D2 couldn't (and never was able to) add to what it was missing. D3 can add to what it's missing.
Last i checked you can still play against other players, or not? That's PvP, maybe it's not team deathmatch, but you can invite someone interested to duel with you and kill each other.... or not?

Perfectly phrased.
Besides, this thread is... weird. OP either tried D3 and expected a different game (an MMORPG?) or is a provocative troll. Either way, D3 is about killing monsters, killing them fast to get more loot and kill the next monsters faster. And there is also little social interaction because it's not an MMORPG; on the contrary, it's one of the few games left nowadays that doesn't require multiplayer and yet allows you to experience the full game play.
And please, not the PvP discussion again... once itemization is fixed they can take care of the next big issue, but for now let's focus on what's most important in this game first. For all the PvP people there are plenty of other games out there; please show me which other game I should play if I just want the (long and enduring) item hunt.

Thank you. It is exciting to think what can become of d3.

Diablo games, shit, any true ARPG is a very niche genre. Old school, arcade-ish isometric throwback that is predicated upon pure action. I hear comments like the OP's all the time, and it's always a person that hasn't ever played a Diablo game. They gave D3 away to WoW players for cripes sake, hence the abundance of "I don't get it" comments.
My comment in reply is...."You're right....you don't get it. Move along".
