I hate time and their zones. Always makes me confused. Could you guys help clarify this?
I live in Sweden, that's UTC +01:00. Would that mean 5 p.m. CET equals 16:00 UTC and then +1h for Sweden aka 17:00?
In all Blizzard announcements, the timezone for Europe is always Central Europe, so it'll always be "your time" as Sweden is in CET (Central Europe Timezone) or CEST (Central Europe Summer Time, March-September), respectively. Blizzard's announcements for US times are almost always PST - which is where Blizzard is located, on the west coast (Pacific Standard Time), and it's almost always 9 hours behind CET/CEST (with the exception of the few weeks of switching to summer/winter time, as it's not synchronized).
Timezones can be confusing, agreed - but for Blizzard games it's pretty much always: Friday, 17:00, season start. Just keep that in mind and you should be safe ;-) Also, I'm pretty sure we'll have a countdown on the frontpage, and the buzz will be everywhere, so there's no way to miss the season start!
@pseudoman4:
Did that, was still confused! ... or maybe I just don't trust myself and my conclusions.
@Bagstone:
I'm sure you'll have a countdown Though since it's not up yet and I need to plan ahead my confusion had to end! Must know when I should call it a day at work. Can't risk missing the super laggy first ten minutes of a season!
Still hate time zones or rather my inability to understand them.
