I've been using leeching beasts. It seems to keep the dogs up longer against molten/plagued/lightning enchanted/reflects damage. I chose that rune as I don't use the dogs as a source of damage as much as a distraction while I dps unmolested.
I found that the stuff that's hard-hitting on our pets like molten, fire chains, etc. is absolutely NOT countered by Leeching Beasts.
With just under 30k damage, the pets were only healing themselves for around 125-140 per attack. It's largely unnoticable.
Clearly? Not so much. I don't think it was ever intended for Leeching Beasts to affect Sacrifice. You do know there is a Sac rune that heals you right?
I thought my smileys were enough of a clue to see that I was not serious about it
I cannot be 100% certain but i think that the reduced life leech does only count for life leech from items.
It counts for active and passive skills also (tested with barbarian, not sure about leeching beasts).
I agree. Isn't it patently obvious when someone has purchased gear thru the AH? Given enough gold/cash, any weird build will work.
What's so bad about using AH to gear up?
I can understand the hatred towards real money auction house, but almost everyone uses the regular AH.
It's everyone's own choice to restrict themselves to self-found items only, but I hate when people act like they are better or somehow "elite" for doing so (because they are not)
(I also played as "self-found" all the way from normal through hell to the start of inferno)
PS: Given enough time/luck, any weird build will work
Exactly, if we get good drops in the game that aren't for our character, what do you expect us to do with them exactly? Also, I don't think it's safe to assume anyone used the RMAH just because they have good gear. If I sold all my gear I found on the gold AH I'd have full Legendaries by now. Even with selling my high ticket items on the RMAH, I've still had enough gold to buy what I need.
Back on the leeching beast topic... I've switched back to leeching beasts again. My dogs would die a lot more when I used life link and that often leads to a death. I notice a major increase in their survivability when I switch runes. Then again, my damage spikes up to 80-100k depending on my gruesome feast stack so they are probably healing themselves quite a bit. I think the effect you see will vary greatly based on your DPS.

Alts
I have 3 level 60 characters, and 2 more about to hit 50, so my stash is full of stuff just waiting for them to ding 60. But I've been seeing that this is not the norm; what I see the most are profiles where over 90% of the play time is spent on one character only (like a lvl60 Barb and the rest all lvl2 or something).

I'm doing exactly the same, I got 2 stashs full of things that can be useful to other characters when they reach 60. But, we are 2 of a kind, most players dont do that.
@proletaria so what?, I plan to max my WD to 100, someday, in a few months/years, and with the items I get from him, make viable to farm inferno with characters more gear dependant, like monk, wich I enjoy yo play, but I was told he requires good gear.
Let say tomorrow I find a good legendary for a barb, then I give it to him and start using a barb.

Totally agree.
Gear... always gear... :_(
