But it feels broken. Most the time. No matter which button i set dashing strike on. It just wont do dmg or wont even dash.
I got no issues keeping my spirit up. But especially on single targets in melee range most of the time i just wont dash even tho my spirit is full and i got 2 charges.
Im having a hard time playing the build and are now considering going sunbells or reroll to dh or something. Dashing strike just seems broken and clunky gameplay wise
I know that Bhally. I saw quin69's youtube movie about it. And that is what i am doing. I have primary on mouse 1 which i keep pressed while fighting. And i have dashing strike on key 2 on keyboard. The problem isn't that i spam it and run out of spirit and then charges. The problems is that most of the time i just keep attacking with the generator and dashing strike wont do anything. Me and a friend of mine had issues with dashing strike last patch aswell. When we used it as defensive. Many times it simply wouldnt dash and we died from explosions and the likes.
It seems like there is something that interfere and overwrite the dashing strike. Simply making the ability not work
well if you hold down you fire the command to use your Generator all the time.
And while in your generator animation you can't dash.
If you want to fix it you have to lift your finger from the left mouse button when you want to dash.
Or hope that you're lucky and the dash is fired before the next generator if you hold down both.
This is some of the issue. I have now started to more or less "burst" the mouse button for the generator. Clicking like a maniac instead of holding it down.
I have never kept both buttons pressed. That only fires all dashes in rapid succession and im out of spirit and charges before i can say icecream truck.
Ive cleared greater rift 43 now with rather standard non ancient gear and a terrible flying dragon without any form of lpss or lph. So i guess there is some hope down the line ^^
I noticed this same issue before even using Raiment set. I suspect that it is due to coding, and while spamming some attacks it queues up say the following 2 skills, and hitting Dashing Strike wont immediately make the game dump the commands in waiting. I may be wrong, and it may have to do with just the animations. If I stop casting spirit gen then I dont have any issues, but... it doesnt make sense to completely stop casting in order to cast another skill.
I've noticed the delay or lack of activation when DS is bound to a key. I've put it on my right-mouse click and have zero issues with it. I too used to have it bound to 2, and it would never go off when needed.
My issue is that i find DS not reliable as a dmg source, since sometimes it simply won't hit.
I'm using it on a mob, repeatedly, and no damage... for a skill that is SO ressource expensive, it's a big problem.
Maybe you should aim more carefuly. I don't have much problem playing raiment. Even in GR50+ feels powerful. But it need some time to get accustomed to gameplay style. Hardest thing is getting used to nonconsistent attack speed of flying dragon and optimal spirit spending.
regardelss if i aim directley at a mob or not it just fails to hit sometimes it need to be made to hit 100% of the time if it costs this much spirit just increase the hit box or something
Everyone reporting issues. Have you checked your latency? Mouse over the green bar next to your resource pool. Have you checked your FPS (frames per second)? Type CRTL + R. What your reporting sounds like the same people with these issues that were playing a FC (Furious Charge) Barbarian.
There are certain builds that will make these two issues very noticeable. Dashing Strike is one of them.
If you have high latency you will start to experience a perceivable delay generally around 125+ MS to the diablo 3 servers.
If your FPS are 49 or below you will also perceive a delay. There are many threads on how to improve FPS.
These are numbers I personally experience a degradation in the response/smoothness of the build
I just moved to running diablo in 4K with max settings and AA. Even with these settings when I have 80 MS to the diablo servers, and 60 FPS the Dashing Strike build runs butter smooth.
My ms is never above 60, unless something happens ofc. But that is not the issue.
My fps in game states 250-300. But it should be locked to 144. Vertical sync on in nvidia control panel and 144hz on my monitor.
I think my issues is mainly playstyle. It feels better now than it did the first time. But its not as smooth as say raekor.
What helped a little for me is actively using shift to force attack. And basically hold mouse 1 in with shift. Dash from group to group and just keep dashing and making sure i do not run out of spirit
its not a fps issue or a latency issue its a the move doesn't always hit cause there is a certain distance you have to travel apperently i read somwhere it just blizz needs to make it so if you ds near a target it hits it regardless . it isn't broken they just need to make it hit when you do it near something .
6p raiment is insane, there is gear requirement, if u dont have FD this one is BIS , u can use alternatives 2 one handers which u give resource faster, Utar roar + any other with life per hit for survivability, if u have focus + restraint u should able to do grifts 52+, and if u wanna dont miss spells try use primary skill + shift key hold down all the time,. passive skills for one handers : Harmony, Beacon, Guardian path, seize initiative, Gems: GOGOK, Alteration, bane of traped, and in my opinion in overall from Grifts bis amulet to use - Mara kaleidoskope, helfire passive skill also good - but alacrity 15% atack speed vs mara( poison dmg immune wins ).

Not the dmg. I'm not saying its OP.

Use a generator to activate the buff. Problem solved. ;pp

Like azakus87 says.....bind DS to right mouse button. Works a treat!
