the only times you would take Holy cause instead of divine fortress would be:
stuck on difficulty which is too easy for you but the next difficulty is too hard for you to handle
when having a holy build since the 1% life per hit is insanely op
fast bounties /nephalem rift(lower torment rifts)
the only times to pick steed charge would be:
when you trolling..........
fast bounties/nephalem rift(lower torment rifts)
other than that its the worst skill crusader got it doesnt break stuns effects it does low dmg and in big fights it just sits in your skill bar doing nothing unless you are a noob and you need to run away
take falling sword its the highest dps skill crusader got its great for situation likes being immobilized and it melts massive packs and it combos insanely with firestarter since it stacks up the DoT
D.F. vs. H.C. is something that the player would have to decide on for themselves, based on their gear. I swap between the two myself depending on what I'm doing. Don't undersetimate that 10% damage though, if you blow things up fast enough to not need a defensive you can farm rifts/bounties a ton faster.
Steed charge is amazing damage if you use it right, you may not see a 50-60m crit, but you get mobility on a much shorter cd, and a free source of fire damage for stacking the buff. It lets you move in between packs in a much more efficient manner so as to not waste Firestarter uptime. The ability is great before you have 6 pc, and god mode after for quick killing. Throw in Firewalers/Bul Kathos/ or Ice Climbers depending on what you're doing with a RROG and your utility skyrockets.

you kinda said the same thing i said about D.F and H.C but alright
about steed charge i tested it alot in different variations and i never found it more useful than having Falling sword or law of valor i personally think its pretty worthless skill but if you like it and enjoy it its basically up for the player to decide but if you build a t6 without falling sword you pretty much doing it wrong this skill can go up to 60-70m crits with harrington i got with it 135m crit just vanish pack of elites and the aoe it does on land stacks up the DoT from firestarter so yes its just insane
Quote from Dyzlol» I still don't get the love of FoH. It costs a ton of wrath and the damage output doesn't seem nearly as good as Fire Hammers. Do people value it more because you can place it where you want as opposed to the limitations of Hammers?
With Ak's champ up almost all the time FoH's wrath cost is reduced then if you add a cindercoat is allows you to spam and stack dmg even more.. not also mentioning it gives you a lot of mobility more so other builds. Your dmg comes from the stacking of firestarter and causes things to melt. FoH itself isn't your main source of dmg.
Ah, I dont have enough pieces of the set / CDR to make it worthwhile. That makes more sense. Thanks bud

Also for blessed hammer you have to stay in melee range a long time to do decent damage (getting the hammers started and keeping it up).
It has nothing to do with my personal preference, it's a matter of it's a poorly designed skill.
The animation of the skill is far too long for it to ever be effective with firestarter, it defeats the entire purpose of trying to stack DOT damage as quickly as possible for a bad slow burst damage skill with one dot at the end of it.
not to mention not only is it a long cooldown but also costs wrath
I have a question. How did you come to the conclusion that the darklight flail was the best for the build? I only ask because I'm trying to see what I should be using.
wanna ask what about the attack speed in paragon? does it affect how fast the DOT of firestarter proc or the speed of the tempest?
great detailed video, can't wait for shotgun guide, since I play mostly in t6 groups, I've tried both and yeah I notice that shotgun does a lot better in damage and my survivability but boring to use compared to FOH
I appreciate the reply, but I cannot sit through hours of videos. I'm sorry.
If there is anything else you can say on the subject -- how you determined the extra benefits from a 1H and the ~1/2% chance of an extra FotH was better than the damage of a 2h like maximus. If you don't feel like saying anything then that's cool... no problem. Thanks for your time.

it's about one hour with links to sections of the video in the beginning, and you can use the seek bar as well. He covers exactly what you are asking, is taking 10-15 seconds to find it really that difficult?
@Tehstool
It's 50% chance for an extra FotH. And it's important, because the most DMG comes from the DoT left after the hit. I was trying this build yesterday and funny thing happens. I was criting for around 10-12kk when the FotH hits(compared to 15-18 with a 2H weapon), but mobs died very very fast. So i turned on the normal damage numbers, and that's where the magic hapens. Even though I crit for 12kk, the 'white damage' of the tempest cloud left hit for 30-50kk. That's insane! So - more of those 'clouds' equals much, much more DMG.
Although, it's not my build, maybe there's another reason
I meant 50% by the 1/2... I guess I should've been more clear. That was my mistake. Thank you for your input, I'll have to give it another try.
Edit: I have a shield that gives me 10% damage when I have a 2H equipped... would that make a difference? I'll be testing it myself, but I would like further input.

It really is. I took a few minutes going through the video and could not find anything about it. would you please point me in the right direction?
Let me reiterate what I think (as said in the post you quoted). If you don't want to help me or anything, then cool. I have no problems with that because I'm not entitled to anything. If you somehow have a problem with me asking for help then I am sorry and hope you can forgive me.
Nice fire guide mannercookie, one question remains for me:
With the importance of CDR and perma-Akkarat, how much is the CDR worth losing other stats while progressing? I myself just found my 5th piece to go Aughild+Akkhan+RoRG with a SoJ, but currently with a 2h I am around 40% CDR:
is it worth losing ~50CHD (atm 49%) on gloves or ring for 8% CDR? is it worth losing 17% holydmg or 38% CHD for the CDR on rings? how much is 8% or 10% CDR (depending on slot) worth losing other stats(until perma-Akkarat)? Of course you can always say "you have to get better items" but that is only a longterm fix, you can go 100h without a single upgrade if you are unlucky.
I would appreciate any insight to that matter, as I'm running a similar build with holy (far better gear for holy atm).
I was just wondering: Is a Condemn build not optimal anymore? I had chest and shoulders drop with Condemn dmg %, and I was curious whether it was worth building around it or moving on to Heaven's Fury or FotH. Thanks!

Condemn not optimal much anymore but you can still get a fun playstyle that's a little light on CDR (gone as low as 35% and still reset Akarat's to be 100%) if you use the Akarats Shield for reducing CD on block. You can build very tanky and leads to more of a Hardcore playstyle (meaning slower but can clear T6 without Unity). They buffed the eternal retaliation rune on Condemn so you can go below 10s now. It's actually possible to block enough times in the 3s condemn charge to cast another condemn before the first explodes.
I don't have access to the 6 piece Akkhan set. Would you say a 1H or a 2H is better before that? It sounds like the consensus is still 1H, but I'm just trying to be sure.
Yo MC! Great build and vid. Watched it up to T6 part last night. Some questions, if you would humour me?
1) I got my Cindercoat last night and rolled 3x sockets pretty quickly which was nice. Should I keep gambling chests to get my Akkhans right away, or should I now move on to gloves/Magefist? I wasn't sure from the guide. I have the Akkhan helm already. Once I get Mage/Cinder should I let them run for a bit and gather the other Akkhan's pieces first, then go back to chest and gloves last?
2) I found some nice yellow gloves /w Str, Crit Damage, 7% CDR, 7% resource cost reduction, and two decent secondary. Would those be worth trying to use in this build, or should I opt for Str/Crt Dmg/Crit Chance, and just 7% CDR instead and not worry about resource cost? My crit chance is at 39%...currently lacking on amulet b/c I'm using a nice Str/ 20% fire/ 78% crit dmg + reroll stat...trying to get crit but no love so far haha.
3) I have what I think is a nice Darklight with a good Str roll, 9% CDR, and a socket, but it feels a little weak right now (T3 almost to T4, some rift floors still slow me down too much in T4) becauseI am not using Akarat form very often yet...when I throw my Schaeffer's 2H on my clear speed goes way up. Will I not see the most benefit from Darklight until I have Akarat up almost all the time, or even 1/2 the time, and therefore get the full benefit of Firestarter?
Thanks! Great work on the vid, great pacing and explanation. One of the best I've watched

No. You just don't like the skill. Falling Sword has its uses with another builds.

Passive offer a lot of options between survival and DPS. By no means optimal in anyway manner would consider it (speed priority.) Fun, sure!
This set also requires very specific gear, 6 set/BoP/Akkarat's Shield/Reaper's Wraps(not required but very very useful)
