Falling sword is terrible skill O_O

    I mean

    Really terrible

No.  You just don't like the skill.  Falling Sword has its uses with another builds.

I've been using most of this build for a while, and the only difference is i use provoke with with the hit me rune, and towering shield passive instead of the idestructable or whatever it was that you were using, and its awesome! But, however im with some of the guys here. Piro Marella is a MUST!! I know it rolls freaking awful, but i think i got a pretty darn good one. (see below). that combined with cindercoat with 28 percent less fire cost, 120 wrath i get 11 shield bashes after eachother. and thats pretty significant. you get 4 without cindercoat and piro marella, just to compare.

So the reason im using provoke, is to get my wrath up quick again. i almost dont even need my Punish, even though i use it to hold my block buff up.

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Belial-2919/hero/39436596 Here's what im running atm, and before you say anything im totally aware its an intelligence Cindercoat! Ive been maining wizard since diablo came out, and only recently started my Crusader.

    Here's my Piro Marella

After watching this post I gave it a try and crafted a Piro similar to yours.  Lady RNG blessed me!

Piro Marella man... Seriously👵😀😀😁its a must

Good luck getting a decent Piro Marella.  This shield is known to roll with the worst/least used affixes ever for Shield Bash.  I've had crafted like 12 of those shields and the current one that I have which is semi decent makes me more squishy.  I prefer Stormshield.

posted a message on Piro Marella, any good?

Shield is ok but getting the correct properties is a pain in the ass .  Must have natural high block chance 18%-20% plus +11% more block to make it reliable.  If you happen to get +15% shield bash on it then you are set.  Spamming 30 million pounds on bosses is great.

Is this mathematically stupid or not..

What if I didn’t care tostack crit chance and crit damage as the main things?

What if I instead focused on having my items roll +% elemental damage, +%skill Damage, +Damage, +% Damage on weapons and put a Ruby in Weapon Socket...

My thinking is that let say I wanted to make a Meteor Build (Comet Rune)- I want to synergise with the Tal Rasha 4 piece bonus!

It does about 390% weapon damage when cast.

Now let’s say I have of +100%cold damage and +30% Meteor skill damage

Here is where I am no maths expert... but would that make the skill do 390 x 2.0 x 1.3= 1014% weapon damage.
Now the higher my weapon damage from the stats on my weapon, offhand, rings, amulet and Ruby in Weapon would also help a lot.
So.. am I crazy to think that this is a better idea to prioritise rather than always trying to have at least 40% crit and 400% crit damage?
Thanks to all the smart people who can put me straight :)

We are in the same boat there and this is where things get difficult to accomplish.  We all want the highest DPS ever but being a Sader requires you to achieve certain toughness if you are going melee builds (Shield Bash, Swipe).  We can't have the best from both worlds.  On the other hand I am currently gearing towards elemental damage and skill damage.  Here, take a look at my crusader.

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/IllusiveMind-1700/hero/43545894

40% Crit Chance and around 420% crit damage with  56% more fire damage and 30% Blessed Shield Damage  (I don't know why the boots says 10%).  On top of that I do an extra 20% more damage on elites.  My Blessed Shields are hitting for 11m-13m crits on elites with Charge Up and I can run T4 solo with no problems.  I could use magefist for more fire damage but the big question comes into my mind:

Should I try and roll trifecta magefist over my current health pool?  I love running my crusader with 550K+ health.  Or let's take a look at my Mempo.  Should I reroll that 15% for 6% more crit?  Always a big debate.

Same here.  The fireball is supposed to hit harder like any other weapon proc such as Scourge, Sky Splitter, etc.  Barely hitting for like 3K dmg tops in my crusader.

why not both? Currently sitting at 51.5% crit, 440% crit dmg, 52% fire dmg

    Well, going with your numbers:

    A: (1 + .5*4.75) = 3.375

    B: (1 + (.35-.45)*(3.50-4))*1.4 = 3.115-3.92

So it depends where exactly in those ranges you fall. It's just simple math.

That said, as Ebola pointed out, it is entirely possible to find pieces with both crit chance/damage and elemental damage.

Thanks a lot for the formula.  I am not the best at math :P

I have a big debate over myself concerning these three modifiers.  Which one yields more dps?

A: Going the highest Crit Hit Chance/Dmg?  Say around 50% CC and 475%+ CHD?
B: Tone down the critical modifers down to 35%-45% CC and 350%-400% CHD and add %elemental dmg of 40% at least?
