The thing is that armor suffers from diminishing returns, so the more armor you stack the less effective each point is. That's why resistances are so important. If you would like to have the optimal ratio of armor versus resistances,aim for 1:10 (1 armor versus 10 resistance), so lets say you have 6k armor, then you should aim for 600 resistance. If you have them in this balance, you are the most cost effective in your attribute budget.
Why is it that? Well the 1:10 ratio comes from that Strength gives 1 armor per point where Intelligence gives 1 resist all per 10 points,hence the ratio. And why the sweet spot balance? Because they are both multiplicative (not additive, as that could possibly make you invulnerable).
The funny thing is, you cannot achieve 100% reduction, as you would need infinite amount of armor/resist.
But, barbarian naturally has very high armor, so don't be afraid to sacrifice it for resist all. If you have 300-400 resistence without warcry 50% buff, use that skill asap, it's a wonder,almost a must have for a beginner in Act II(if it is with buff already, aim for AT LEAST 500,probably will need more to be safe). Your armor is a bit too high, but thats ok. 50k Hp is fine for start, more never hurts thou. You suffer a lot from low DPS. 9.5k is barely enough to beat Butcher before enrage, aim for 14-15k, preferably more (screw sword and board,it sucks, unless you have really, like really, nice pair of sword and shield... I'm using 2hander and it rocks).
In short, Barbarian is one of the most gear dependant, if not the top one, so be patient while farming/searching AH, your biggest problems seems resistances and damage.
Oh, and I'm a fellow barbarian in Act II Inferno as well, slowly making progress, but still need more farming. Hope this wall of text helps.
Wow, i didnt know any of that, im currently in hell with my barb, and im doing really well with no res, lol. But this is great info ty. Speaking of deminishing returns for armor, does diminshing returns apply to other stats as well such as gold find? Cause i had tons of gold find on my wizard, and i was getting less gold.

Because you don't need resist for Hell. And no it doesn't apply to gold find.
i recently just started using bash with the last rune that hits enemies in the back of the mob group and it is awesome, i just whirlwind out of mobs and always stay at the front of the pack and its amazing, plus the warcry that slows down enemy attacks, and earthquake, it is the best build i have found in the game, cause for one, i hate kiting.

About that 2h.. Shoud i let go of my axe and shield for +400dps? Becouse i lose alot of stats on my shield and weapon..
Just wondering if its worth it, cuz the 2h are all without stats, just pure dps
It really depends on what you are dropping from the sword/board combo. 400 DPS isn't much of an upgrade from a 1h to a 2h tbh, so if you're losing a lot of life/res for a 400 dps upgrade, probably not worth it.
As Kyoob notes, the optimal balance of resists to armor is 10:1, assuming no buffs modifiying one or the other. However, when you get into buffs, it gets a bit more complicated. Also, practically speaking, it's not always going to be easy to hit that ratio, and when you don't, the value of the attribute of which you have less increases. So how do you know whether you should pick this helm with more armor or that helm with more resistance? The actual formula vs level 63 monsters from Inferno Act 3-4 (neglecting buffs) is:
a = points of additional armor to equal 1 additional point of resist all
A = current armor
R = current resistance
a = (A + 3150) / (R + 315)
Given the OP's values of 9500 armor and 350ish resists, 1 point of resist all would be worth about 19 points of armor as far as reducing total incoming damage. It's a bit more complicated than that though, because you also want to take into account any buffs you have. IE if you have a +25% armor bonus from the passive skill, assuming A already takes that into account (ie, check A with the passive equipped), you'd want to use:
a = (4/5) * (A + 3150) / (R + 315)
This would make 1 point of resist all equal to only 15.2 points of armor when using the same numbers. With the 20% Warcry armor buff and the 50% resistance buff from Impunity too, it'd be this, assuming R and A do not already take these buffs into account (ie, check them unbuffed):
a = (4/5) * (A + 2625) / (R + 210) (if not using Impunity, leave the last number at 315 instead of 210)
This would then make 1 point of resist all worth 17.3 points of armor (or 14.6 if not using Impunity).
EDIT: I forgot to account for Warcry's actual armor buff in that formula.

sometimes i swap out superstition for either life leech or pound of flesh. as any of the three seem to be interchangeable at this point.
I also changed a few pieces of gear around. Sitting at 47K hp 9.7K dps 9.5K armor and 315-490 resists. (self buffed ((impunity)) )
and before I catch any gripe about cookie cutter builds, I figured this out via experimentation when I STARTED inferno and PRIOR to ever seeing what ppl on the bnet forums were running with. So just saying, it's cookie cutter for a reason- ppl doing the lab work are finding variations of the revenge/wrath/impunity build is all that works for us right now, and those who aren't are just following the lead =P
Get more DPS. Im on my way to zultan khulles archives.. most shit dies too fast to be much of a problem. I'm at 32k DPS. That with enough life leech is a good key to survival for melee.. once youve gotten enough armor/DR to not get instant dead (i suggest buying a decent DR string of ears)

Stats are 9.5K armor. 300-400 resists. 9.5K DPS. 50K hp.
Still have trouble in group games against arcane enchanted, or if the champ pack rolled one of the harder mobs (Thralls/the big spikey guys/lickers)
I've spent days and millions in order to gear to this point and singular upgrades to my armor cost anywhere from 1/4Mill-2Mill a pop easily.
What should I do in order to be ready for act 2?
Please serious responses only, I'm fully aware of the communities stance on inferno and barbs as it is already. =P
My dps is actually 11.5K when i hit 5 stacks of maniac.

You mean Fury right?
this. ppl dont talk about the skill, they call it by its ruin more often, its more informative.
and ya you don't need resists until inferno. Start stacking it now, you need ALOT.

interesting stuff, I guess I should of clarified more for your calculations. Im using http://us.battle.net...VPck!bVe!cccZbc

This is as important as any resist gear farming. You will NOT succeed with 10k dps.
My usual way of checking if I have enopugh dps is if I can kill treasure goblins. If you can't kill an act 2 goblin, you need better str/dps stuff.
