I guess that interview shattered our hopes and dreams lads.
New Classes Confirmed.
Will be interesting to see what they replace the old classes with, witch doctor isn't a bad replacement for the necromancer but they need to make sure the classes have depth of choice that the originals had.
One problem these guys at irvine have is there class trees always end up pushing people down the same path and I hope to god its better done then what they done in wow.
Last thing we need is a million of the same types of classes walking around.
If I remember correctly they've in the past (not far past, quite recently) said that the Barbarian was the Only class returning in the Vanilla, they did however say the possability of the Necromancer returning in an Expansion (They did not say there would be just 1 expansion) existed.
I got the feeling reading the article that you linked had the context taken out. All things are the same in the eye of scrutiny.
The necromancer does have place for improvement, but not a whole lot like the Barbarian.
Would be interesting if they even did a deamon character... say the deamon got tired of all the struggel between heaven and hell and went rouge and is now trying to stop diablo because he wants to make sanctuary his home or for more sinister reasons... sort of like the story in the diablo sin wars books where the angels and deamons banded together to create sanctuary...
Don't like the idea.
Happened in the Sin War, look what happened to that. One of the most powerful Angels ended up imprisoned in Hell.
Besides the Prime-evils want to make Sanctuary their home also. So they can use it as a outpost in the war against heaven.

It's a double edged sword. They both want to include Sanctuary in the war. My guess is that the angels will try to tap into the latent powers that the humans have since the Worldstone is gone and things go nuts.
A nephalem would be possible I guess. If they minipulate a child at birth or something.
I was having great times with a hybrid character. The shapeshifting feature was a lot of fun. Now that we know it won't be returning, I wonder if there will still be a shapeshifting class? The only 2 shapeshift class i can think of are the Druid and some demon class. But I doubt there will be a demon class, since it won't really fit Diablo.

 I love you too.
Wait, huh?
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

On a forum called Fans of Satan, we have such loving people.
Irony?

i know eh?? its strange..
inarius is really that powerful?? tyrael can pwn him neday
Well from what I heard Inarius was considered either the most powerful or one of the most powerful.
Don't quote me for sure, but I know he was high up there.

Ehh maybe, I think it's pretty unlikely though. No specific reason for that just the way I feel. Seems kind of cliche and what everyone expects.

Well we have nothing to base that from story/lore wise in the D3 world. So we'll have to see.
Oh is he? I thought he had left? I forgot his name.
