I'd go with Passion, and then either dragon or dream armor, but don't mismatch them, you could, but i'm a cookie cutter kinda guy. i'm a pvp'r though, so i'd probably get both dragon and dream and leave one set of items in stash for whenever i needed to switch.
Tankzons can be a very good HC character due the passives and a very strong decoy and Valk. Avoid, Dodge, Evade should be above 50% of avoiding damage. Penetrate and Critical Strike will help on the offensive side.
I would look for IAS and Crushing Blow. You can also go 2-Handed for more damage since you do have at least 50% to avoid damage.

I'm thinking about combining hoj and dragon to get level 30 holy fire. That in addition to enchant should help a lot. Although I should probably go with passion and fort or coh for most uses.
They changed these sorts of items in 1.13 so that equipping multiples won't stack the auras anymore. Just a heads-up before you go off spending a bunch of time and effort on dual dreams or something.
no, stacking still works, theres still a way people are doing it.

"to the worm in horseradish, the world is horseradish."
Well I already have dual dreams, hoj and dragon. So I guess I will find out if it works when I level up more. And then I will find out if I should retract that thank you or not.
And I don't care about being a glass cannon, it makes it interesting.
Tank zons exist because there are few advantages in not using spears/bows/javs.
The first advantage is that you can use all your 110 points in defensive skills. You can summon virtually immortal valkyries and mitigate like 60% of all incoming damage with passives only. But playing a daggerzon right know i learnt that her most handy skill is decoy, even throgh it's kind hard to use it. With good use of decoys pluss the passives the monsters barely hits me, wich leads us for the second great advantage.
Since tankzons can survive to anything almost naked, i can focus all my gear on pure and straight offense. You can stack all the IAS and Crushing Blow you want. My daggerzon attacks in 7 frames breakpoint with close to 60% crushing blow rate, and if i play well (place good decoys) theres 0% chance of being killed.
The third advanatge is that Daggerzons are cheap. Yeah they are very item dependent (if you do not reach the ASPD break points and don't have at least 30% CB you will not work) but those items are easy to get.
And if you think a tankzon is boring to play, hell, you never played one! At least the daggerzon is very fun, one of the most strategics D2 characters. Decoy is very, very fun to use. Also in terms of gameplay, a normal attack is no different of a zeal or a concentrate. It's a melee attack after all. And with the great stacked of IAS, your attack speed will be zeal-like, even better, cause you don't change targets if you face 2 or more enemies.
But even if a tankazon is not very effective it still might be fun to people who like weird builds. It would have the benefit of being able to dodge pretty much every attack, so you could go with a 2 handed weapon with massive damage without worrying about block.
The main problem with having no Jab skill is that her A/D/E skills interrupt her attacks if they are successful. Just one point in Jab is necessary to prevent this interruption, since the Jab skill cannot be interrupted.
I will show how much lower her DPS will be without 1 point in Jab. Let's say we have an amazon with one point in Jab (+10%AR/-15%dmg), using a War Pike (105.5 avg dmg), at 106 Dexterity, 165 Strength, 10 points in Critical Strike (56%), 20 points in Penetrate (+225%AR) and with a character level of 85. Her attack speed with Jab is 1.7 attacks/s and it 1.2 attacks/s without the skill. Her Dodge skill is level 20 (56%) and her AC is 2k. Her hit recovery is 0.44s and it is 0.32s while dodging. She is fighting a Hell mode Grotesque whose monster level is 85 and has an attack rating of 3748. This Grotesque has 1320 defense and 66% damage resist. Let's say that the Grotesque has an attack speed of 0.6 attacks/s, although this is the attack speed of Goatmen from D1, since I couldn't find the actual value. Let’s say the Grotesque has a 0s hit recovery time and 0% to block to simplify this.
First, let's calculate her DPS with Jab level 1 and without interruption.
Critical Strike = 0.56(2) + 0.44(1) = 1.56
Base AR = 106(5) - 35 + 5 = 500 AR
AR with skills = 500(2.35)= 1175 AR
To Hit % = 1175/(1175 + 1320) = 0.47 = 47%
Damage = (base)(Jab)(Critical Strike)(Strength)(Damage Resist)
Damage = (105.5)(0.85)(1.56)(2.65)(0.44)= 163 damage/hit on Grotesque
DPS = (163dmg/hit)(47% hit%)(1.7 attacks/s) = 130 DPS
Second, let’s calculate her DPS without Jab level 1 and without interruption.
AR with skill = 500(2.25) = 1125 AR
To Hit % = 1125/(1125 + 1320) = 0.46 = 46%
Damage = (base)(Critical Strike)(Strength)(Damage Resist)
Damage = (105.5)(1.56)(2.65)(0.44) = 191 damage/hit on Grotesque
Without Jab attack speed is 1.2 attacks/s
DPS = (191dmg/hit)(46% hit%)(1.2 attacks/s) = 105 DPS
Third, let’s calculate her DPS without Jab level 1 while getting interrupted.
To Hit % Grotesque = 3748/(3748 + 2000) = 0.65 = 65% Grotesque hits Amazon
Grotesque attack speed is 0.6attacks/s
(0.6attacks/s)(0.65 hit%)(0.56 dodge%) = 0.22 dodges/s
(0.6attacks/s)(0.65 hit%)(0.44 hit recovery%) = 0.17 hit recoveries/s
Without Jab amazon's attack speed is 1.2 attacks/s = 1 attack/0.83s
(0.83s/attack)(0.22 dodges/s) = 0.18 dodges/ attempted attack = 0.18D/A
(0.83s/attack)(0.17 hit recovery/s) = 0.14 hit recoveries/attempted attack = 0.14HR/A
1 amazon attempted attack –(0.14HR/A+0.18D/A) = 68% attacks uninterrupted
In 60s, there will be (0.17HR/s)(60s) = 10.2 hit recoveries at 0.44s duration, taking up 4.5s/60s
In 60s, there will be (0.22D/s)(60s) = 13.2 dodges at 0.32s duration, taking up 4.2s/60s
This leaves 52s/60s to do damage, but damage is only done on a fully completed attack that was not interrupted occurs which is only 68% of them.
(51.3s)(0.68)(105DPS) = 3663 damage/60s = 61 DPS
Therefore 1 point in Jab made the amazon do 130/61 = 2.1 times as much DPS
Did Blizzard fix the uninterruptible bug. The bug that makes all the current hits miss even for an attack that is uninterruptible.

I had the same thought run through my head when I saw the OP. I'm working on my first serious Zon ever and to be honest, I like the Jav/Spear skills so far. I wouldn't play it any other way.

<3 Amazon with scimitar and shield.
Mine did pretty well... in Normal anyway... (I was built almost entirely on passives)
