D3 forums has TONS of fanboys (and trolls) sticking to the new style of D3 with WoW elements, most of them claiming D2 is garbage and wanting cooldown for spells.

They are not using D3 engene because they decided to go with Physically Based Rendering(PBR) which probably requires a new engine. If you want to play a darker version of Diablo, why not play D1 and D2. How do you define dark?
My suggestion for D4 would be a sort of "true hardcore" mode, for the many people longing for the feeling that the world is a dangerous and hostile place, where you are very small and not a god like in Diablo 3. This optional mode would have features making the game feel more this way, such as a smaller light ring around the player, no white damage flashes when you hit monsters etc. Additionally maybe reduced chance of finding powerful items, and obviously perma-death. Whatever the devs come up with, for this sort of immersive mode.
Imagine the mode in several horror games, where key items are not highlighted, some helpful HUD elements or tools are taken away, and you truly are afraid to open a door to a new room, if immersed in the game. A mode like that in D4 would be super cool in my opinion.
This would address the demand for higher difficulty (true difficulty, not artificial difficulty with adjusting monster health and damage), smaller power level and the more "grim" vibe if you will, but in a separate mode, to not take away from the large group of fans who like the combat of Diablo 3, and want to (at some point) be able to feel powerful.

I play W.O.W. quite a bit and I have noticed that some people only play that game because they have a support character(s) to play (aka Healers) who take on a niche role. They can also stun, control, dmg on top of healing their group. Diablo has been lacking this quite a bit on a large scale as to attrack people who love this type of style and game play. My suggestion.............
..........The class you need is a PRIEST. A priest who can mitigate damage to the party through the use of blocking mobs from getting close, fearing large groups for several seconds, putting down rings on the ground where the party takes greatly reduced damage in them from magic or physical attacks. However, they must be able to play alone. Maybe some abilies like:
-Take control of the next 6 enemies you kill for 20minutes:
a) Sacrifice a controlled minion to increase the damange of other minions by 300% Sacrifice a controlled minion to make your party immune to damage for 5 seconds
c) Sacrifice a controlled minion to increase the maximum health and mana of your party by 40%
...etc etc while also casting holy fire, using holy water, using different 'prayers' for all sorts of effects, summoning Angels to fight by their side for a short while(2-3 types)
Draw on a mix of Paladin, necromancer, Witch Dr., mage while also doing something we've NEVER seen before. Something so new we pee with excitement.
DO NOT RELASE 5 OF THE SAME CLASSES/PLAYSTYLE we've already seen. Make it new, or just don't release the game.

so thats 2 melle classes and a rangined
next should be another ranged class so maybe ARCHER type class
the problem is arpg games are have been done alot and there are 3 main types melle , caster and ranged.

Well, a rumor I heard (Druid kind of proves this) is that one of the D3 expansions was suppose to introduce the Amazon and Druid, but when they scrapped the 2 expansions, they just merged some of that into 4, with Amazon and Druid being two of the introduction classes, and well, we already got the Druid, so it is possible one of the other classes is the Amazon.
Also the Druid can be melee or ranged, if I remember correctly.
I personally am rooting for the assassin, and an inquisitor type of holy priest.
Make sure single players get everything that co-op people get, without the need of feeling obligated to participate in things that singleplayers feel stresses them out due to team efforts.
If a raid is on, whatever the heck that means in an ARPG... Then the items should be able to get from simple solo quests as well.
People might argue "that takes the fun out of playing it with friends.. getting unique loot". I disagree. Playing with a friend should never be obligated, or pushed upon. Singleplayers miss out on so much stuff in Diablo III its insane, since they can't push Rifts and crap like that. I like gaming, but not deadlines and pressure into being carried. Ugh.
I just have 4 major recommendations:
1) eliminate cool-downs - this is not Wow;
2) create a magic find system with items;
3) no restrictions on trading; and
4) fix the skill tree - dont allow all skill max outs in end game. This is not diablo 3.

Make it when you die you will lose all your items and Diablo 4 will be 10000x better.
