I'm Paragon Level 80-Something, I've leveled my Blacksmith and my Jeweler to the point where they have the big buildings in town, but other than that I haven't really done much crafting-wise.
I have every class at 60. I have pages of legendaries and gems and crafting materials and I'm not sure what to do.
I'd love any advice from you guys as to what I should do to make the best use out of the Auction House before it goes away.
What should I keep?
What should I sell?
What should I buy?
Any advice/thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Salvage the gear ur not gonna use the next 2weeks, then keep only 1stack or each crafting mats for alts and stuff, sell rest of it, sell gems ASAP, Marquise quality gems will drop in RoS
People seem to want to stockpile old crafting mats.
The reasons could be one of the following:
1: Not going to buy RoS thus getting top tier gems will be a royal PITA, thus sinking 'useless' gold into something usable.
2: Same as above but for crafting mats like Brimstones that can be tricky to get hold of in large quantities
3: On a crafting binge to try and get that trifector pair of gloves or that godly neck (uses gems and crafting mats)
4: Wanting to roll their 2.0 gear with enchanter come RoS (not sure if 2.0 gear can be enchanted, didn't have beta access)
5: Just wanting to make sure they have a stockpile for a LONG time should new xpacs come out and introduce new characters or what have you so easy crafting of gear as they level.
6: Crafting Crusader gear to speed up 1-60 should the RNG gods hate them.
Also keep in mind loads of people have billions of gold by now, thus 100 mill spent on old crafting materials is nothing to them.
Personally I'm unloading all my 'useless' stuff now and getting my gold asap because it will be needed come RoS and I can see me spending more than I make, atleast in the first month, thus having a stockpile will be VERY handy.
The AH selling madness is absolutely crazy right now. I use to buy some stuff in the AH just to get some improvement but now that the price are skying high it's just plaine crazy.
Like the Flawless star Diamond at +60 million gold ? why buy that when you know in two weeks that you'll see marquise drop on the ground ? Why buying a legendary one-handed sword with 1300+ dm with socket for 500 billion gold when you're gonna get yellow 70's with 2500+ dm for killing a trash mob in two weeks ?
Even if you're not planning on buying the great RoS (in my opinion) when it come out. I don't know what's the point of all this price madness.

@Thread: Keep some basic gear for leveling. Keep some low-level gems that you replace with Marquise as they drop from level 61+. If you have found some decent gear since the 2.0.1 patch, keep some crafting materials (blue, rare, legendary) to enchant your level 60 gear. Otherwise: sell everything else.

I think it's because lots of players are coming back to the game and have nothing, and they wanna get at least some legendaries before RoS comes out. So that when it is released they will have a working character able to do higher difficulties.
Also, think of all the gold accumulated by botters and RMAH users throughout 2 years of the game being live, all that gold is being thrown back into the economy now (from what we know it's pointless to have 50 billion gold in RoS) for the higher end vanilla items, which don't drop anymore and are still fairly powerful DPS items (like a trifecta Zuni's Ring).
Shadow_Jackal, brimstones and tears will be useful for crafting as they are now: for crafting level 1-60 items. Level 61+ items use a new set of salvaged materials not in the game at this time (because level 61+ items don't drop yet).

Zero got it. I bet sooooo many players came back, many not knowing nearly as much as we do, and are going on a blind shopping g sprea. I say let them. I've been selling some old gear (sold my old storm crow for 10 bucks) and a Zuni chest for a couple of bucks. I'm planning to sell my gear on my alts and stock up on my bnet balance. Thanks for sharing with the gems, No idea why I didn't think of crafting and unloading.
But then again, I'm that guy that most likely won't buy Ro$ off the bat. No need to rush to give a multi billion corp my money so fast when they don't need it.
I heard that Gold will have a great vallue in RoS because of the new enchanting. I only got around 30 million gold right now and i wonder if i will be able to substain myself for rerolling attributes on weapon and armors.

I've been thinking about this as well. I have ~36m gold (stropped playing right before P levels were implemented). That won't last long, but with no AH there is really no practical way to make millions and millions of G anymore. They have to make sure that gold is farmable to the point that people can actually afford this stuff, but I don't know what they've done yet.

Sell it all and profit, especially diamonds
