IIRC the set items part of the transmog answer is wrong. As some have found and I have personally tested about a week or two ago, you can't get recipe crafted items' transmog by crafting them.
I just did a bunch of crafting for my monk 2 weeks ago and every single item that I crafted was unlocked for transmog. So not entirely sure what you're referring to when you say what you and some others have tested, could you be more specific? Did you not get the transmog at all? Maybe you already had the transmog? My testing confirms what is written in the FAQ, and I believe everything else appears to be a bug, but I'm not aware of such a bug. If you could point me to posts/threads of such observations or maybe be specific as to what item exactly you were crafting to get the transmog design, I'd be happy to include those bugs/exceptions.

You sure they were set items? I'm not sure if these are exceptions to the rule or, again, if I'm missing something (maybe it's not supposed to work with set armor? doesn't really make sense if the original set pieces are all wearable anyways, and it works with my rare mojo --> set mojo...), but these armor pieces are all set items that I got the plans for post 2.0 -- tried with a helmet as well and it didnt work but I salvaged it so I can't grab a screenshot
Showing that the option isn't there (moused over to show that it's account bound and crafted by me, also shows that I'm trying to transmog my normal helm -> normal helm, not voodoo mask etc) and they are all post 2.0
Well, I've never heard of that, but my guess is that it's either a bug or that they want transmog designs only to be able to unlock from new, RoS recipe version (which have the same looks, but level 70 stats). It would be a bold move though, especially for those who decided to not buy RoS.
I'll add a sentence to the FAQ that there seems to be a bug with legacy crafting designs.
Nope, your weapon's element is essentially overwritten by whatever skill you use and plays no role for your skills (exception: wizards with EE passive or 4 piece Tal's set). Hm, I might add something later on in the FAQ.
I've had the idea of creating a collection of all useful links, like this one. I put this project on hold because Vaneras was trying to do the same. Turns out his link collection is really poor and misses a million useful links. So maybe I'll do this at some point and add a FAQ point "useful links". No time right now though ;-)
If anyone else wants to do this I'd be happy to help out, though.
I think, 9 and 10 are too idealistic. There are skills and builds that vastly outperform others and the same holds true for farming efficiency. That might not have been evident when you first wrote this, but since you have updated it, it deserves the truth.
With some effort, there could be a list of beginner builds (fresh lvl70, only rare and crafted gear), transition builds (after getting Mirrorball for example) and endgame targets (full Vyr set, Wand of Woh). Though I'd keep the building guide in there.
Yeah... wasn't sure how to approach this issue. But to be honest, the "cookie cutter builds" are part of endgame content and for all players who have reached this stage of the game the FAQ isn't really interesting anymore, I guess. I still think that for more than 95% of all players it's still all subject to their gear.
Might edit this later... but until July 13 there's a more important topic, to be honest

Completely re-wrote #9 and #10, let me know what you think.
That being said, I'm wondering if I can link 2-3 of those "endgame cookie cutter builds" for each class, maybe as question #11 (would move #11 to #25 then).
Demon Hunter: Marauder + Sentry build (can't find a good guide)
Does that make sense? Not sure. Problem is also where to draw the line, how many builds to include for "real endgame" (e.g., pull monk just outshine everything - does that make all other guides useless)? If anyone can point me to "better" guides for the 2-3 definite "best endgame build guides" for each class please let me know. I would only include something like this is if it's fairly set in stone and in agreement with most of the community. Oh and since this is cookie cutter let's keep it at T6 rift group play (as this is probably what most efforts for Tiered Rifts will be focused on as well).
The last part of #10 is a bit confusing. You make it sound like you lose out on something by doing split bounties. Technically you do not get all the individual bounty rewards, but since you're getting caches at 4 times the regular rate and they also contain fragments, that's a win-win and then some.
For endgame builds, how about an encyclopedia? What is a shotgun Crusader that everyone talks about or a pull Monk? New players probably wonder about that. About drawing the line: If one build outclasses all others, then right behind it is the line ;)I wouldn't leave solo play out though. Yes, multiplayer is Blizzard's focus, but playing in a group of 4 trivializes the game so much and hurts my eyes
But sure, that's what most players do.
But I am happy to report it's all working, and drops are dropping, etc. I ran a bit last night, got anywhere from 5-9 of each piece for the machines and made loads of crafting materials and 10 mill just going straight to each keywarden.
I really thing the "bounty" map setup helps speed this along greatly, AND act three and four are way quicker to locate the wardens. Luckily I just happen to like flying through acts one and two creating total chaos in the process.
Again, this is great info, well laid out, and will help a lot of the newer players!
I know this is super late and might have already been mentioned, but I think it's worth noting that PS3 users will find much of this content to be different and/or nonexistent. I honestly might not have purchased the expansion at all had I known this, so it could be worthwhile for those smart people who are actually researching beforehand (which was, of course, not me).
I think this is not only different for PS3 users, but also probably not 100% accurate for PC users, and definitely not reflecting the current "frequently asked questions". At this point I feel like there's no real point for a FAQ as there isn't an array of 10-20 questions popping up on a daily basis; that's basically the entire reasoning for whether or not an FAQ makes sense.
