I'm a big fan of the Demon Hunter class, but I was majorly disappointing to see that the DH pets (specifically the boar and the terrible limping wolf) are only slightly altered models from World of Warcraft. As much as I love WoW, I really think that these two games should be as separate from each other as possible. What better time to make a change than for an upcoming expansion?
I know many people don't care, and its really just a quality of life thing, but it was something that always irked me ever since I saw it and I'd really love to see some unique models/skeletons for the pets.
The better question is... you have a complaint, but what "unique models/skeletons" would you want to see? A post like this doesn't really... help. You could easily come up with some examples as to what would be "better" in your mind and that would help.
Very little good comes from "I hate this" posts... but if you change it to "I hate this, but here's a fix" then there's definitely room for someone to make changes. The devs are a lot of things, but the one thing they're not is mind readers.
I actually like the Wolf Pet. I agree on the Boar to a point.
Rather then see new pets, I would like to see the pets bring more to the table. Especially in the group scene. Maybe some light buffs (Primary stat buff/crit damage(within reason),or passive health/resource regen to all members in the party. maybe give one the ability to instantly resurrect a player.

I currently like the pet models myself. I'm really looking forward to the legendary that lets you have 3 wolfs out at once =D As far as the models are taken from WoW, it's not exactly easy to make models look different when they are as simple as just a wolf / a boar.

Not quite sure what you mean, Its not like I said "The pets look dumb, fix it." I had a complaint and voiced it and my suggestion to fix it was to implement different models. The only thing that I could do add to this would be pictures of what I think the models should look like, which I don't really have the capacity to do.
What unique skeletons and models would I like to see? Not the ones from world of warcraft. The developers can make whatever they like, but I just wanted something that fit into the diablo universe instead of being recycled from a previous game.

I dislike the wolf the most because of its awkward, limping running animation that I hated from WoW, the boar isn't too bad, but it is the same skeleton/animations overall.
I agree with them becoming more useful, currently most people just use the bat because of the extra hatred buff, but I think it would be cool to add more utilities to them, the slow/hatred regen/ and money buff are good, but something more interesting would be welcome.

Yeah, I hope that legendary drops for me too.
I understand that its easier to keep skeletons and just make a new skin because the hard work has already been done (I have a degree in animation, which is why the wolf animation catches my eye and bothers me so much xD) but I think its important for a game to have an individual look. I actually liked the wolves from Diablo II quite a lot, but they would have to be updated to work in Diablo 3.

Does anyone else feel the same?
