50k votes in the poll
how many copies of D3 sold?
7 million? 8 million?
Are you under the impression that any of the polls conducted in the world include anywhere near the total target population in its results? No, of course not, that would be completely impractical. What you do is define a set of representative sample audiences. I think a Diablo forum is a pretty good representative sample, though of course there are other factors involved which are not accounted for (i.e., the fact that anyone frequenting these forums is almost certainly among the more dedicated and opinionated section of the user base. Casual players are probably ignored, but again, when we're talking inferno changes that may be ok).
I'm actually growing rather fond of this particular troll. Maybe he should be crowned honourary 'Official Diablo Fans Doomsmith, Purveyor of Hatred and All Round Bad Egg'
For pure hatred of bitter butt hurt for the game yes, for the ability to keep a flaming thread going no. wishedhehadbeta was the best for that, a few others were pretty good for that too.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.

Considering you could re-vote on a voting poll makes the data skewed and useless. Any time Blizzard posts any new information you get a lot of haters even if its actually good/terrible for the game, it doesn't even have to be a patch. I agree people here have more insight than casuals or most people from the official forums but 50K of Dfans simply do not exist and if they did, not everyone resurrected their account simply vote on a poll.

Ignoring all other polling procedures...
Allowing multiple votes automatically makes it have an EXCEPTIONALLY wide margin of error. Let me pose this question to you...
Think American Idol. Imagine if you could vote an unlimited number of times for your favorite singer.
Now imagine it's the Ruben Studdard vs Clay Aiken final. Everyone hates Clay but I fucking LOVE him because he rocks a totally awesome hairdo and the twinkle in his eyes is just splendifirous (I am purposely trying to sound like a teenage girl, for the record). I decide that I am going to vote 50 billion times for Clay Aiken and I pull it off successfully.
Fast forward to the season finale and, after a myriad of commercials to build up the suspense, Ryan Seacrest saunters out onto the stage and delcares that Clay Aiken won in a landslide - 50 billion to 3.75 million.
I totally get that Clay Aiken had the most total votes, but the overwhelming opinion of the voters (by a 3.75 million to 1 margin) was that Ruben Studdard was better. My point being that allowing infinite votes is the one thing you can do which completely and utterly destroys any validity to any results you get. And this could be said for the people who "like" D3 too. What if all of those votes were just one person? We will never know, but the question remains. What did this poll tell us? Zilch.
Sorry, people at Curse, I don't mean to nitpick or offend, just trying to bring some logic here
Yeah, because all D3 players in the world visit DiabloFans regularly and vote in the polls, right...
If you didn't understand, the whole DiabloFans community IS the minority.
You are so stupid! You don't understand how polls work. 1000 votes makes a poll representive. There is no vote in the whole world where all users have voted.
It is a FACT that most (Non-Casual) Players don't like D3. The only people who still have fun with this game are Casuals who still play in Normal-Hell...
I'm in inferno and it's fun... well there goes your argument... swing and a miss.

Lol.
What makes a poll representational is a random sampling of qualified users. This poll (1) is from a largely negative site (as far as D3), that allows multiple posts from each voter, and doesn't even require proof of having played the game. (2) 1000 doesn't mean anything unless that number is a *significant* sampling of *valid* (see (1) above) users.
Second, unfounded statements with noticeable amounts or corroborating evidence are considered theories. What you have stated is theory, not fact. I am also a hardcore player, and am still playing Inferno.
And FWIW, I voted Hit-or-Miss, not like. If 1.0.3B works out, it will to a solid "Like".
-----------EDIT------------
ElKapitan - valid point. The an easy way to adjust the skew in results would be take sampling of, say, the top 100 posts, and judge if they are vehemently for or against the game. That will give you an idea how many users are willing to abuse the poll to misrepresent their side.

No, the good trolls get 10+ pages usually. This is a sad attempt.
