i like the direction the artist are taking this, diablo 1 he looked like he spent to much time in the gym, diablo 2 he looked like a dragon with no wings. i feel this 3rd interpretation is close to the mark as the could get. Let us not forget that diablo is a shape shifter, constantly morphing into what true terrifies each of us. plus is he even gonna be in this last installment??
Have you even seen the whole picture of him? Getting negative even before your seen the whole thing.
To answer the question why he look more detailed with more spikes and so on.
It's because they can do it as they couldn't do it before and he look way more badass now aswell.
An evil with like 2 horns only is doh
Maybe instead of bitching you could post the image you are talking about

This is what I mean when I say I see a crown. By crown I mean a regal opulent looking headdress denoting station or nobility. I just see a headdress that is elegant, formidable and pretentious at the same time.
I am thoroughly enjoying reading this thread. Just when thought I have heard every possible complaint about the game coming from people who have either not played it, or spent 45min in the beta. The new Diablo has too many horns? I wonder what I will hear next.. Maybe the Barbs bicep peak is not quite round enough? I say keep them coming! Makes me have a good laugh.
In D3 he possessed (not know how exactly yet) his last host offspring, in which he propably smugled part of his power and essence. He does not used his soulstone this time and thus is not limited by it, also worldstone being no longer in existance is no longer preventing him from sucking power directly from hell while being in Sanctuary and he is possessing person sharing his soul, its like coming home.
Why are people saying he will posses someone in D3. It doesn't make any sense to me.
The reason the had to posses physical forms was because of the soulstones. Since the soulstone were destroyed, the three Prime Evils were banished from Sanctuary. Now that the Worldstone isn't in Sanctuary anymore, the Three can technically come in their normal forms, they don't need to posses anyone.
Unless the black soulstone somehow has something to do with it and their banishment plays into it, then I'd understand. But conventional knowledge suggest that since there are no more soulstones, Diablo doesn't need a body to physically manifest in Sanctuary.

It's probably just me I guess.
