31 Jah 0.0002% Mephisto Hell
32 Cham 0.0001% Mephisto Hell
33 Zod 0.00003% Baal Hell
How many times do you have to kill Baal for a Zod?
0.00003 x 33 333 = 0.99999
That is more than 30 000 Baalkills for one Zod? How many have got such a divine patience...
i dont know how accurate the rest of that actually is but i could find all the way up to thul on countess normal =3
so its missing multiple difficulties for some drops =3
I think he was just giving those earlier ones for a broad show of how easy it is to find the first half as opposed to the second half. If he was really being nitty-picky about it, he should technically include the drop rate of every rune from El to Mal in Hell mode, and every rune from El to Hel in Nightmare mode.
I have gotten the Zod rune legally many times now. I used the Horadric Cube formulae to do so. It did take a very long time to do, but a lot of runes and gems down the road, I accomplished my goal. I have also gone on many dates with the Countess now. I dumped her after I accomplished my goal.
Here are the Horadric Cube formulae:
3 Runes of the Same Type = 1 Higher Level Rune
3 El Runes -> 1 Eld Rune
3 Eld Runes -> 1 Tir Rune
3 Tir Runes -> 1 Nef Rune
3 Nef Runes -> 1 Eth Rune
3 Eth Runes -> 1 Ith Rune
3 Ith Runes -> 1 Tal Rune
3 Tal Runes -> 1 Ral Rune
3 Ral Runes -> 1 Ort Rune
3 Ort Runes -> 1 Thul Rune
3 Thul Runes + 1 Chipped Topaz = Amn Rune 3 Amn Runes + 1 Chipped Amethyst = Sol Rune 3 Sol Runes + 1 Chipped Sapphire = Shael Rune 3 Shael Runes + 1 Chipped Ruby = Dol Rune
The following Rune upgrade formulae will only work for Single-Player, Open, or Ladder Characters. They will not work for Normal Characters on the Realms.
3 Dol Runes + 1 Chipped Emerald = Hel Rune 3 Hel Runes + 1 Chipped Diamond = Io Rune 3 Io Runes + 1 Flawed Topaz = Lum Rune 3 Lum Runes + 1 Flawed Amethyst = Ko Rune 3 Ko Runes + 1 Flawed Sapphire = Fal Rune 3 Fal Runes + 1 Flawed Ruby = Lem Rune 3 Lem Runes + 1 Flawed Emerald = Pul Rune 2 Pul Runes + 1 Flawed Diamond = Um Rune 2 Um Runes + 1 Topaz = Mal Rune 2 Mal Runes + 1 Amethyst = Ist Rune 2 Ist Runes + 1 Sapphire = Gul Rune 2 Gul Runes + 1 Ruby = Vex Rune 2 Vex Runes + 1 Emerald = Ohm Rune 2 Ohm Runes + 1 Diamond = Lo Rune 2 Lo Runes + 1 Flawless Topaz = Sur Rune 2 Sur Runes + 1 Flawless Amethyst = Ber Rune 2 Ber Runes + 1 Flawless Sapphire = Jah Rune 2 Jah Runes + 1 Flawless Ruby = Cham Rune 2 Cham Runes + 1 Flawless Emerald = Zod Rune
Enjoy, fellow Alchemists.

The problem is that Diablo has a singleplayer that cannot be ignored.
I agree with this wholeheartedly. I never really played d2 online. My brother and I both got lvl 99 chars in solo mode, as well as other high level ones. We did a shit ton of runs to get nice equipment, but guess what? I had never seen a soj until I decided to make a b.net character for fun.
I plan on doing the same in d3, especially if it comes out within the next year, as this internet I got in iraq is too shitty to even play mafia wars on facebook, heh. So not having such incredibly rare items would be a really nice change for me. I can see how it might kinda suck for the b.net players though. So what I'm hoping is that for single player only chars, they increase the magic find chance, and maybe keep it the same as d2 for the online chars.

Thats how the dupers make zods and other very rare stuffs.. they dupe those lower runes at start ofc because they get found earlier and then they cube them up because after cubing they aren't considered dupes anymore..
Too bad blizz implemented a way to prevent duping (the item ID's) but then they implement another feature that totally counters it.. duh.. they should check the item id's when cubing if they are the same .. poof both gone!

Glad to be of service.
With the D2 economy the way it is that was a huge waste of high riunes lol.

It takes 32 Lo runes, not 64 as you have stated.
