I know everyone back in D2 was frustrated switching between 3 accounts looking for one item between 18 characters in their stash or inventory....
Well what if All the characters on your account had a shared stash... Like when you open your stash there would be tabs at the top with your other character names with their stash. This saves the trouble of miss placing items and forgetting where you put what item in who's stash or inventory... The other characters stash dont have to be accessible but there just to show you what is in their stash so you dont have to go hunting
I think its a good idea and I hope they implement something of this sort.
They will implement something like this. They allready said that D2's stash and trade system were terrible and they would fix it creating new systems, that we don't know yet, but will surely fix this stuff.
They have this in Sacred 2 which I'm currently playing. It's awesome. You have a tab for your personal space and a tab for the shared area of storage. It's very handy for sharing items between your characters.
How about a magical box in your inventory called The Chest of Transdimensional Fusion. You put something in and you can take it out on any of your other characters.
nothing wrong with d2 trading system. only idiots had 3 accounts full of items. around 90% of that shit is worthless.
Nothing wrong ?!
Your invotory is ridiculous small, your stash is about the size of your inventory, you cannot send a item to a offline player, theres no trade center but external forums and those primitive chat rooms, you cannot trade gold for stuff, you gotta creat alot of mules to keep your items etc..
Theres allmost NOTHING working well in D2's trade compered to modern games, thats a fact.
Shared stash is a must. I can not see D3 without it. As for a trade system, we would all love an auction house, but this game can't, won't, and does not really fit in here. My hopes are for the WoW mailing system. Yeah, its WoW, I hate the game now but the mail system it has fits perfectly.
You can send multiple items, you can set a price on those items in which the player has to pay before receiving the items, and its a good way of communication with people who are not online at the time. My guess would be that both of these things are implemented because they fit perfectly.
i'd like a solution like the one Titan Quest (expansion) with the tabs in the stash. One for the character and one shared to allow transfers.
I never played Titans Quest but the idea of tabs in the stash seems reasonable...they already have tabs in WoW guild banks, so they already know how to implement a shared stash.

Yup this sure would make things a whole lot easier....heres hoping we have some extra customization options for this kinda stuff....like naming tabs and putting icons on them like u can in wow that would be great for organizing things......to bad id still be disorganized

It's not just the storage, but having a universal stash for your account makes transfering items so much easier, than always asking a friend to help or waiting that 5 mins and hoping the game won't crash while you log the mule character. This universal stash also makes sure you don't have to make characters just to hold some items for you.
i was stating that the trading system was fine, a rebuttle to italofoca's post. but the limit in the stash is fine. people shouldent be keeping every unique they find. a universal stash would be ok..... but opens the way for too many duping methods

It does open for more duping methods.....but D3 will have a pretty good strategy against dupes id say considering it was the big big BIG problem in d2......but the limit in the stash is not fine when you start accumulating a ton of expensive gear like almost all of the normal users of d2 on bnet surely have....
Yeah one shouldn't think how this kind of system would be in D2.. sure in there it would probably be exploited like everything else. And sure there must be a lot of things that are "fine" in D2 but now that they are on it why not improve every aspect of D2? I for one don't want to save many things to D3 of the clumsy UI and systems of D2.

Yeah I aree... and if you look back on diablo 2 nowadays its menu and UI system even for back then was pretty limited and not that great....looked good tho ill give it that

I am sure there will be people who will create alot of extra characters for holding onto items. Some people just like to collect everything. Shared stash would make it easier to do that though, but won't solve a lack of space.

I think this would be great to mail stuff between friends and traders. I am curious about 1 thing though. Is the reason WoW has this because it is pay to play? I never played WoW so I don't know if the pay to play is just for preventing hacks and dupes or providing updates or whatever they have on that game. If they could do this for free on Bnet 2.0 then fantastic.

Worthless? I had more then 3 accounts when i was really into d2 and I can guarantee you it was almost entirely godly gear...
Also there is a LOT wrong with the d2 trading system. Just think about all the possible scams...thats not a good system
