Damn! I like this. It certainly seems like it would bring back that uneasy feeling of not knowing what's around the corner. I doubt I would add this to my files folder as I'm sure I'll be able to adjust the settings in game to my liking. This is right on par with what I wanted originally.

I mean he could be referring to him and the other demons in the room though.

I don't think that was it, because if you listen to the entire monologue, Azmodan speaks to Leah as if he is specifically talking to HER. Saying, "You thought you were so clever that you had outwit us all. One by one our brethren fell into your trap, but not me, I defy you." Hopefully I got that right but assuming I did, just that excerpt speaks to Leah as if he is referring directly her.

I don't see how Leah had any part in events leading up to this point. It couldn't possibly be "your trap"(aka Leah's trap, she was an infant/fetus) I feel Azmodan is speaking to Diablo because of how he says what he says and definitely the "our brethren" part of the dialogue is a possibility of Azmodan speaking to Diablo/Diablo's corrupting influence within Leah. I may be wrong but who doesn't love a good conspiracy theory?

Besides all that it needs to be said.. If I was Diablo I would want to be inside Leah too. She's a hottie! LoL

Short answer: Blizz makes good games.

Blizz has small development teams, which are better for quality but bad for time. This, coupled with their high standards means their dev cycle is long as all hell.

Size doesn't factor in as much as you might think, since generally bigger games have farther spread content. Depends on the game.

I wonder how many thousands of fans died waiting for the sequel of the series to be released...probably lots...
The man that introduced me to the diablo series, my best friend of 18 years died Oct. 14, 2010. He was so excited about the announcement and was going to roll a barb. Goddamn your comment Deventh. You made me shed yet another tear over my fallen brother.

Do you think that once you'll rune your skill you can change the rune you have previously runed it with? If it's possible then there will be no need to have several same-class characters.
I didn't fully understand that question.

I presume a melee oriented wiz will have gear and skills that focus on higher defense, hp and damage mitigation vs a caster that focuses more on spellpower adding items. It seems that aside from runes you would need to carry with you a shield, sword and the various armors to switch from one spec to another.

Solid reasons guys and/or gals. I will probably have a low level dueler monk that I feed twinkies to from my main char. I'll also dabble in hardcore once I get the feel for how the enemies play and feel confident with a build I think will last. I personally don't intend to sell any of my characters. I just like playing games for fun BUT if someone is gonna pay a pretty penny for a level 60... Well, you know what they say. Money talks and this nub will be doin another walkthrough xD

Your inventory will get twice as cluttered if you make two wizards, the inventory is shared. I don't see any point in making more than one of each class, unless you're talking hardcore. A major reason for being able to respec on the fly is that you wont need to make several characters of the same class. Also, I can't actually tell you if im gonna make more than one of each class, because I haven't played the damn game yet.

    > this discussion is pointless and far too theoretical to gain anything from
The inventory of your characters is not shared. The "shared stash" that sits in town is shared between characters. Oh man if all characters had the same inventory then who'd want to make more than 1 char period?(rhetorical)

I gather that you'll be lugging around all your runes and gear to switch between a caster and melee wiz? A summon wd and a dps/cc wd?

For a barb the gear can't be much different so it's reasonable to carry your gear swap with you.
I'm bored at work. Just passin time asking what people plan to do. Allow me a pointless conversation for that?

I'm curious if anyone else plans to make more than 1 character per class.

I plan to make a male wizard and have a focus on melee combat. I also plan to make a female wizard and have her focused on long range magic kinda like a glass cannon.

I suppose with the respec being so easy I could just make 1 wizard and switch between those two but I imagine the various builds will warrant different gear setups and I'd rather separate them than have 1 cluttered inventory.

However, if I am making a barb I will probably just stick with 1 seeing as they don't have that large a difference. Barb see, barb pulverize there is no opposite.

Basically the wd and wiz I plan to make more than 1 because they seem able to fulfill different playstyles.

Do you plan to make more than 1 of each class? What is your reasoning to do so or not to do so?

posted a message on What "SECRET" would you want in D3?
I'd like to see a Deckard Cain level that you have to stay a while and listen. The longer you stay and the more you listen the better the loot. No spacebar to cut the lore short. I'd personally make it to the stay a while and listen part and get common scraps as a prize on my way out of the level. Lol

posted a message on Guild support
One thing I'd personally like to see for guild support is a shared staff and shared artisan feature. With level restrictions on the artisans of course so a level 10 isn't able to craft any recipe you or a guildie has found and learned, they'd have to level to unlock the higher recipes or get someone else to craft an item for them.
I understand that only 4 players are allowed per game but if they don't all play at the same time it might provide additional opportunities to jump into a group and grind for loots and crafting materials aside from their normal friends list.
I also imagine a chat function that would extend across the chat even if people are in seperate games to share what they are doing(i.e we got a party of 3 and doing Leoric runs, anyone want to fill the last spot?)
If I gave it great thought I could come up with a plethora of other features that would be useful to a guild/clan.

Lots of people wanting to reserve their names. Am I missing something?
Just an example. Conan will probably be taken right off the bat for a barb name.
I wouldn't name my chars that, I like to be a little more original/creative but I don't want to wait and find out the char names I've got in mind are taken.

posted a message on What do you have planned for when D3 releases?
I'll install the game, I'll log in and reserve my names then log out, read the game manual, log back in and play for 8 solid hours. After that I'll play 4-5 hours per day solo until I beat the game. I like to play solo and I want to try some different things before I start playing co-op. I'm in no super rush to hit the level cap. I just want to have fun and enjoy playing the game.

I may be crazy for saying this but I may be one of the rare few that doesn't want to play the beta. I'd rather other people find the bugs and buy the polished game after beta is over. As long as I've waited for D3 I don't think it'll kill me to wait until it is fine tuned. Maybe I'm just patient or people are just mental. Take your pick.

    Official Blizzard Quote:

Playing with others works exactly like Diablo II. Enemies are tougher, and you have a better chance at getting nicer loot.

He didnt mentioned MORE loot but NICER loots, so maybe hes not talking about extra drops per monster, maybe its just like D2 where mobs have their base level increased when new players join the game, allowing new types of items to drop.
That runs counter to the belief that all content will be available in co-op or sp. The "nicer" loots may have higher stats affixes but I should still be able to find a legendary sword of uber awesomeness whilst playing solo. :-D

posted a message on How to use Skills?
This has me curious. Will I be able to rebind my keys to function exactly as they did in D2? That was very easy to use in my opinion. I've played other games where you either pressed a hotkey or clicked the icon to cast the skill and I was always clicking the icon but that worked well because you had to select the target in order to use the skill. It's my understanding that you don't "lock on" the target in D3. Seems like this system will be difficult for my uncoordinated ass to grasp.
