For those of you who have played the demo... Has teleport been nerfed at all?
I actually hope so.
Can you teleport through walls, down levels... Etc, etc? Or has it been designed as more of a escape skill rather than an overpowered skill that will allow you to rush down to the boss and kill him, then move on again?
i have not played the demo.
however, in the skill demo, when its demonstrating teleport
she breaks open the door before she teleports through it.
this leads me to beleive that teleport has been nerfed to line of sight only
it also looks like it has a longer more dramatic cast time other then just a poof
i was gunna say the same thing. she had to break the door before she teleported.
and yea the cast rate is definetly longer becuz she has to jump into the air, then teleport, then come donw and land. seems like it takes at least 1.5 times longer than d2

it looked slower in the video but wait until you get gg fcr from items n skills etc then im sure it will be just as fast as d2, or i hope so haha. teleport pvp battles are the best lol
i was looking at some skills for the wizard and i beleive teleport only has 1 skill placement. But also there was a skill (forgot name) that increased fcr. also items will increase fcr. Sorry dont have link, im at work lol
i hope she broke the door only for demonstration that it could be done, not because of teleport restriction ... ummh
else it would be very anoing this "teleport" if i could not boost with it ...
Lol thats just the reason for teleport should be limited. Boosting sucks and skipping game content too. Look at D2 people don't give a shit about the quests there, they just want fast to hell a5 to leech some exp since they can't do anything by themselves.
I believe they are giving the right direction to teleport which is a Wizard's escape tatic and not a replacement for... walking!
I love teleport, but I hope you really can't teleport through walls. That will make it so ridiculously unbalanced again. It would explain why it has been allowed to add damage runes because it has been somewhat nerfed from the teleport we know.
The only reason that I ask this question is because if you can bump up your FCR to make it go super fast, if you can go through walls/up and down levels... Then once again 90% of the characters in Diablo 3 will be Sorc's. (Or Wizard's now)
Teleport was awesome in Diablo 2... But while it was awesome it also made almost everyone create a Sorc, even if they didn't really want to. Teleport is still extremely useful as an escape skill and to protect yourself, or just to skip past a horde of monsters or something. But I really hope they don't bring it back just so people can skip through the entire game without experiencing any of the content, thus making the Wizard way more overpowered than the other classes.

They could of did that on purpose to make it look like you had to break the door down first
But hey, I hope you can't teleport through doors Wonder if you can tele between levels 2 to 1 of a dungeon if you can see the lower section?....

Imagine a barbarian in a PvP coming to attack and you simple cast that time buble and start to teleporting and kicking the barb's head LOL.
What i didnt wanted is a continuos teleport, too bad blizzard kept the same fast teleport. 3-5 seconds of codown would balance it IMO.
