(I'm not saying this because i'm a pervert, It was simply a loose thought, I've put about as much tought into this as checking a box on a piece of paper)
I mean Andy had huge tits with chain piercings, the Greater Demons in act 5 had dangling dicks aswell as those spawning things in hell.
I'm guessing the female characters are all going to have bras on when they don't have armor on. The female characters in Diablo 2 had their breasts in some way emphasized at almost every point (The amazon shouldn't even have breasts, why else but for sex appeal? Even the Sorceress whom was about 16 was portrayed in an adult manner)
There is quite a bit of bizzare sexuality in Diablo, is Blizzard Entertainment going to even do it or are they going to take the concept of accessability to an extreme and blank out nudity
I think that if you take the bizzare sexuality out of the picture you damage the image, horrific creatures and situations are supposed to shock and awe not just by how glorious they are but by how bizzare and disturbing they are.
Since the world of Sanctuary is themed after 13th century Europe it's safe to assume their ideals of Evil and Hell are what they were in those days. They thought that Demons were symbol of immorality and that Sexual perversion was synonamous with the Devil, and occult. Think back to the Gluttony summoning back in the Diablo 3 gameplay, they sacrificed women. Women were seen as deceitful monsters to catholic europe, if a woman could read or practice medicine she was a witch. You could rape a woman in Paris and pay in pocket change, that being if you were actually caught, if you raped a 13 year old you were sent to jail for awhile but that's unimportant to the point. The point is that this wild disregard and climate of fear, the progression of views of demons and hell, it all plays into the stylizing of Diablo, and sexuality is apart of that.
I'm just pointing it out because nobody has, that's all. I'm not saying the game should be Psychotic, but keep the disturbing warped edge and that subtle bizzare sexual fetishism which fueled the games. That's all.
I dono about the act 4 guy i dont see it. But ZOMG i NEVER noticed the penis on act 5 guy.wtf?!?!!?kikm could have done without that. Andy boobs haha

I kinda never noticed all that stuff. Maybe because I am a girl. Or maybe because it was pixelated. I'd rather have it than not have it, but... not on my characters. I prefer to play women not cows.
And, it is a kids game, but that doesn't change anything.

Oh, of course. That's why I played it at the age of 8.
There was a survey around here somewhere questioning what age most people were when they played Diablo. Most of them were kids... and if the majority of the audience is kids-teens, the game is made for kids and teens. The rating is just a way to avoid lawsuits. It's not to prevent kids from playing or anything, it's to avoid stupid lame lawsuits.

Well maybe you were more exposed to that kind of stuff than I, but at 8 i would not want to play that game, i would rather play DK than being chased around by a crazed demon, i would surely have nightmares.

Um, that's the best part of playing games as a kid... being scared to death by the Butcher, and having nightmares (hmm, I don't think I had any from Diablo, though) and awing at all the scary loud voices and the cool graphics and all those other cool things that look so cool and amazing when you're young. Surely you couldn't have missed that part?

I disagree, but ultimately agree. I was 12 when I started playing. It was mostly because of how appealing it was to my mind back then, it was as realistic as they could get it with sprites and it still looked Cartoony. The subject matter and theme of the world is hardly a game for Children like Warcraft, People have said that Warcraft 3 was too cartoony, well the Orc Townhall looked like a fucking ginger bread house, not to mention the Farms and Barracks, mostly everything.
It's Blizzard Entertainments game now, they're going for Stylizing over Realism, which is what Diablo 2 feels exactly like to me now that i'm back into the game. I want to know what the mentality in Blizzard North was because i'm confused.
I don't like the idea of the bizzare sexuality being out but I- in the long run see Blizzard pulling it out to make it appealing to a more broad group, not just adults. I'm one of those Environment type of guys, so it's make or break for me in a few ways.
