I'm just wondering, if the brothers were just brothers in arms and "close friends", how did they reach a mutual agreement? Afterall, the brothers are the LORDs of terror, hatred and destruction. One guy loves to inflict fear on to people, one guy is immensely evil (mephisto) whiles another loves to leave destruction in his path.
So how did these 3 brothers just suddenly choose to unite and share a spot of greatness instead of fight over it. Looking at the kind of character Mephisto is, it would seem rather odd for him not to install something fishy for Diablo and Baal.
Maybe I'm too technical here, but I actually think they have a parent of some sort. Or at least a creator.
I always found it interesting how the Three Prime Evil got along so well. Someone previously mentioned even though they are brothers, they are not like "real" brothers, they were just spawned at the same time during the Dark Abyss. Kind of goes against the greedy nature and evil nature of demons. I guess thats how they were able to control Hell for so long.
Then we have Beliel and Azmodan, who were said to be real brother (correct me if I'm wrong), and in the end, they didn't want to share.

My enemy's enemy is my friend.
They all hate the High Heavens. They will fight each other, like the other demons do if they are not fighting Heaven.
They do not have a parent. But can be one. Or at least Mephisto can. Their is currently no evidence to support the theories that Diablo or Baal can reproduce.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

A devil is just a higher demon as far as I've always heard it. Not the same as THE Devil.
Who knows...no one ever tries...
Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals... except the weasel.
