I just really hope throwing spears (javelins, etc.) return in d3 they have already stated throwing weapons return but I really hope spears come back they were awesome
Even if no class primarily uses them. Throwing daggers, Throwing Axes, Spears, Javelins, glaives (the throwing ones not the spear/lance ones), they are all good weapons.
Plus you have the Snake Tribe of Barbarians, they use spears. If we get to see more of the Barbarian Highlands this time around I do not see why we couldn't get to see some more the the Barbarian tribes. Harrogath was just a bastion at the foothills of the Kae-Huron mountain range. Sescheron is the Barbarian captial. And we never got to see it,

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I just hope they have some more useful throwing weapons. Unless you were some type of Amazon build, there was really no reason ever to use them. Sometimes on Baal runs though I would use poisonous gas potions and throw them all over the place just to make everything all green and gassy to piss everyone off.

yea I just loved the concept of throwing a spear at something but they would definetly have to amp up the damage and such I mean large 4-7ft. spear vs. 1-1.5ft. arrow yet in D2 the arrow did more damage

Well it wasn't the arrow that did more dmg, it was the bow.
Anyway arrows and bolts pierce better than javelins. Though if a javelin pierces it will do more damage.
yeah thats true but a javelin can still be thrown hard enough to pierce and it has a lot of weight to help it get in and stay in and then you can implement a big damage hit and a little bit of a bleed / slow effect and I'm sure there would be skills to improve it's ignorance of armor if a class had it that is
