I personally saw the monsters to be EXTREMELY wimpy in the videos. I understand they want to achieve a god of war like action style, where monsters die fast and fly across the screen, but they need to understand that fans love to have a sense of progression where monsters are frikkin tough, but if you get good enough you can kill them faster.
PLEASE think before you post next time. ITS A DEMO! Thats normal act 1.There will be anice curve like with all diablo games. Easy at first with a nice way to work one into the difficulty

Um, did you play Act I - V Normal mode? The whole thing was easy as hell- then we had Nightmare and Hell mode. The monster difficulty is the same as Diablo II Normal mode (except that we haven't heard if they will continue the changeable difficulty mode.)

I understand that is it simply a game-play demo containing charcters with gear and skills far beyond what we should expect to have (At that point in the game) but while watching the demo, you can see that this "Wall of Undead" (Witch Doctor thing) skill does 15 damage (As stated in the skill's toolbar) at level four. (Level five doesn't even increase damage, still 15... This is likely not important though.) The wall pretty much one-hits everything that goes into it.
that video was just a demonstration, if you look, the barbarian was barely ever being hit. they probably overpowered the barb and underpowered the demons (aka made him lvl 70 in norm sorta feel) in order to make it easy to show off the game.
imo, they will stick with the idea of DiabloII, however, i imagine they will balance it out better, so 3 years into the game they dont have to create a patch like 1.10 and suddenly have monsters be crazy harder to make up for the power items give.
lol i did think guys, im just concerned that it will be too easy adn monsters will fly around like rag dolls. Yes i play diablo 2 all the time, and i know that it IS harder than what they showed. Maybe it isnt like i think though and all will be great...i sure hope so as D2 is my favorite game ever.
he said it in a video interview on IGN that they looked at games like god of war and implemented it into D3. I'm sure it'll all be good and you guys are right that it was just because they were higher levles...i hope so lol.
As for majpain, i never said you had to take three minutes to kill a normal monster, im just saying that what i saw was something WAY to easy and all monsters went down with one hit...maybe it ws just because they are beefed up for where they are at.
I'm glad to see that people do want it tough and are voicing that. I'm sure it will hold true to its formula, but i want to spread the word just in case. Oh and i hope to hell they include NM and hell modes with the better items (exceptional and elite) like they did in D2.
I don't want monsters to be too easy but DII in Hell got really stupid with monsters that killed you in 2 shots no matter what you did or no good gear EVER...
