D2 was plagued by a totally hacked economy because it was on BNET. Everyone had the best gear because of hacks, bots, and dupes. That was fine before World of Warcraft but if given a choice between WoW's clean economy and a hacked D3 BNET economy, there's no doubt I'm choosing WoW.
What will you do differently to ensure that the D3 economy is not wrecked? I will NOT buy this game if you cannot guarantee a clean economy.
It is not a cartoony design. I dont know why people are complaining. Its nothing like WoW. Its not as dark as the first 2 games, but you are going to have evolution over time. Once you watch the gameplay video a few times, you get use to it.
I would also like to know the answer to this, as well as are the backgrounds seen in the gameplay trailer reminescent of the entire game, or can we expect more background scenery akin to Diablo's Butcher levels and such. I want to see people impaled on spikes, etc. The blood, the gore, the things that made Diablo so different from any other game. This one worries me with it's more "everyone" oriented look to draw in a larger market so to speak. Will my fears be allayed by the final product, or will this be more like Aliens vs. Predator in it's design, rather than Aliens?
Diablo III runs on a custom 3D game engine for rendering full-3D characters and environments. The 3D game engine not only simulates advanced animation sequences and sound effects, but also uses a custom physics engine that allows for realistic object dynamics and cloth simulation.
Does this mean that we will be able to rotate the camera, change PoV's, etc.. like in WoW?
1.) Will game play be similar to Diablo 2 in the sense will there still be Acts and if so how many? Will there still be game modes such as normal, nightmare, and hell. Will there be waypoints?
2.) Will quests still function the same way as they did in Diablo 2 in the sense that the majority were encouraged, but only a few necessary to further you along in the game, or will they be more "WoWish"?
3.) How many aloud per party
4.) Will there PvP? If so, how will it be implemented.
5.) The graphics. As it appears the graphics are a step up from D2 sprites, but they look cartoony with a splash of gore. What was the reasoning behind going with a "cartoony" graphics design instead of a more "realistic" approach? While D2 sprites may have not been greatly detailed, they look more realistic than the cartoony D3 models, and gave more of an immersion into the game.
6.) LOOT!! How is loot done? Will there be a return for magic find? Is it still the same tier level of magic (blue), set (green), rare (yellow), unique (gold) ?
Well... it's a Blizz game, of course it's cartooney >.>... However there was some nice gore/blood effects, personally I would like it to go darker, and look a little more Gothic. But then as a business, that would scare away some customers and make parent's less willing to buy it for their kids/let their kids play it... So it makes sense to cartoon it up and make it a little friendlier.

I agree here, I really hope the market doesn't get thrashed with retards who hack/exploit the game. It makes it fun for them, but in the end they kill it and make it boring faster than if it went at a normal rate/difficulty. Also I would like to see measures to prevent bots that spam advertisements for buying stuff with RL money.
Questions I want to know are.
1) Will there be the classic Normal/Nightmare/Hell Difficulties
2) Will Hardcore mode return?
3) Will there be the option to retrain "talents"/spells?
4) Will there be any healerish classes/builds.... the beauty of being able to engage in a long epic battle means that either the enemy has a billion life and hits for 1.... or you have the ability to regen life. Previously it was all about mashing the Health Potion button, but how will this be balanced now?
5) I hear that there is less spam clicking but the same destruction from D2, does this mean spells/abilities will cost more, have bigger cooldowns but do more damage/hit more targets?
6) One of my favourite things from Diablo 2 which didn't get any advancing beyond the expansion was being able to craft item with desirable stats + random modifiers in the horodric cube (orange items). I felt this could have been furthered better, will there be something similar in D3?
7) About loot in general, I am hoping there is a lot more emphasis on random modifiers on stat drops, Rares/crafted items (chance for 3-8 random stats on an item) were imo what made Diablo more interesting compared to say WoW where everything is predefined. Is this the case? Or will you be adopting WoW's loot system into here?

"If we're actually making the game worse with no other reason than to be different from WoW, then it's a bad choice." - Jay Wilson (D3 lead designer)
He said that they arent working at it at the time being but it isnt impossible.
But the game has to much randomness in it for there to be modding.
Which is a very poor answer. Diablo I and II were both modded, despite being "unmoddable". I would much rather see support for it from the beginning, much like the Elder Scrolls, or Dungeon Siege, or Titan Quest or Neverwinter Nights, or numerous other games.
i think q and a was over a while ago unless this site has an interview coming
blizzard.com/diablo3 has a faq that can answer some of these, world map, char page(with video of a few selected skills in use) and a few other things but it is very early so there is a whole lot we have to wait for
i think there re-vamping bnet (before sc2) so if you have to pay to play bnet youll have to pay for d3

in the game play video, they showed the barb wearning set items.

The only questions i would like answered are:
1. Will it be free and not pay to play?
2. Will they be giving the game a slightly darker feel?

A nice option would be to import your existing d2 account into d3.
