You know, I had been thinking about the problems with Baal's soulstone. In the original Diablo lore, the whole reason why Tal Rasha was imprisoned with Baal's shard in his chest was because the small shard was unable to properly contain his spirit and the stone was rapidly deteriorating (which would mean Baal's spirit would escape and he'd jump around and take another host). So in order to stabilize the stone, Tal Rasha sacrificed himself.
If I remember correctly, the whole reason why the Three allowed themselves to be captured and imprisoned is because they wanted the power of the soul stones so then they could corrupt them and use their power to bind them to the mortal realm and conquer Sanctuary. Now since they have lost the soul stones, one could surmise that they are now cast back into hell and are unable to return to the mortal realm.
But the kicker is the one and only World Stone. Because it's gone, the barriers between Sanctuary and Hell (as well as Heaven) are now gone so then the Three no longer require a Soul Stone anchor themselves in the world of the living (whereas before they had to have a host body, although that greatly diminished their powers until they had the soul stones which brought their power to full). You can assume now that they, although bodiless (because they were stripped of their bodies before coming to the mortal realm, assuming that is true and not a lie) are residing once more in Hell. However as with all things there must be some sort of consequence for their failures in the mortal realm so thats where you'd have to be creative in how they "come back." Perhaps instead of the overused "evil dude summons more eviler dude," perhaps have "The Righteous Hero" be tricked into bringing about their resurrection.
Ah those drawings are awesome! I love your take on the Cathedral of Tristram. Prattzetta is really cool too!
*saves to inspiration folder on computer*
lol funny thing about the Prattzetta, it's my rendition of Frank Frazetta's famous "Death Dealer." Pratt happens to be my last name so I was a smartass and tried to make a funny
Evidently it seems I am now in sole control of this project. And I intent to hold onto that posistion with an iron fist. this one..
Ideas shall be submitted to either myself (story) or Jetrall (images) via PM, email or failing those this thread.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

Btw, Elfen, once you guys have some ideas for monsters, shoot 'em on over and I'll see about getting some sort of descriptions of appearance and abilities done up.
Well, I'm going to need something a little less nebulous than "go and draw." It would help if you pointed out which images you currently need. Backgrounds, character designs, monsters, items; all need to be drawn and I need input from the development team as to what to do with each. I could use some descriptions of areas, what character classes you intend to use, monster names and what type (beast, undead, demon, etc). Lastly it would be helpful for my drawing process to know the story so far, that way I'm not designing anything that won't belong not to mention it gives me inspiration for what to do. In the meantime, I'll just start drawing a plethora of basic items, can't really go wrong with items
I need landscape concepts. Snow covered tundras, sandy dunes, lust jungles, stoney fields, craggy mountains.

Top one is good. Demon in a cave or some kind of hidden mountain fortress should work nicely.
Second one is ok, just need to throw in some ruined statues like there was in Diablo II.
3rd one doesn't work for me.
4th one is good (isn't that the Victoria Falls in africa?). Some sort of enchanted pool or prehaps a forbidden pool.

That is alittle off topic, and while it is a most grander falls, it doesn't quite lend itself to the diablo world quite as well.
A forbidden pool works well if it's small and with a equally small waterfall entering it. hidden cave in the bottom, or prehaps some strange water dwelling beast.
Now I see four, but only after you posted what you said, Elfen.
Ohh poo, I still only see three.

Correcting my admitted unsurity, while most definitely helpful, has little to do with what I planned on doing with the waterfall in question, thus why a said a little. My query was in brackets for a reason. To denote an extra, prehaps unneed point.

So this project looks like it will die unless people continue to work on it, those of you who sent stuff to GM, you can email or PM it to me.
Also if someone is good at writing stories and fanfiction you can drop some of your works in here, I may need some writers, also artistics, give us a quick run down of your abilities, few sketches of demons, angels, landscapes and the like.

Just throwing ideas out there.

and ya....a yes or a no would be nice, just so then I know I'm not wasting my time making unappreciated art

Here is a picture of a mountain near where I live called the "Enchantments"
and here are some random Google images, I doubt this is what your looking for but I just wanted to post that first picture.

That's Victoria Falls. Sorry if that's off topic.

He meant that your assumption of the first image being Victoria Falls was wrong.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
