ball lightning build was strong because stun WD made mobs not moving so balls could do damage, now, mobs move, so balls will not be able to do as much damage, but it will be worth trying ofc
I dont think you guys are even thinking about the items required and the OBJ of ball lightning spec. The OBJ was to gain perma immunity with SS however, blizzard reworked that skill.
Damage wise you need both meticulous (obvious choice for cubing) and rucksack. You automatically loose damage because you cannot cube an actual weapon. Next you are forced to used Kridershot. Kridershot isn't a bad weapon at its core , but lack multiplier damage.
With the past nerf to helltrapper this build is dead for any progression
With a nerf to Crowd Control, ball lightning has a very long start up time. Multishot and chakram can kill 50% faster. Cluster arrow 100% faster.
I have already tested ball lightning with marauder's set. So far, it's not cool. With weak items, i mean the proper items but not ancient, i'm dealing about 200mil crit per tick and every turret is dealing about 20mil crit.
Now i am going to try it with unhallowed essence.

I haven´t tried it yet but i think it should be as strong as multishot, maybe stronger

Yeah man i agree, the DH really lack toughness and in this patch its gonna be very Tanky
and with that said and no more heal monks and parma cc really shine on a group on my opinion..
I really really hope(fingers corossed) someone gonna take this build to the next level and make a huge comeback for this build :))
Nether Tentacle is probably the only way to make this type of build more tanky but the damage out put would be terrible.
