Play this build with skilled players or at least with players that are eager to learn, theres no point to use this build if you want to solo stuff or be the killing machine, this is a aoe damage, cc and support build. If you want to kill single target stuff, build a DH
I think the point Gladhehasbeta is trying to make is that even though your build is support, you still need a single target spell for bosses/special mobs. Firebats with Hungry Bats rune would do the trick. If there is only 1 mob around (e.g boss) it is the only target they can seek, if there is more than 1 mob its still a sort of AoE.
you are in the wrong forum, go to wizard, dh or something else...
dude dont get butt hurt im just telling you how it is. dont get all offended when you get criticized on your build. you really need some single target in there or higher dmg aoe for single target thats spammable. you really really do bud. you want this to be a good support build yes? you havent accomplished that yet. which is why im telling you this. YOUR in the wrong forum if you dont want people commenting on your stuff.

Just to show you I am not ignoring everything you say, I wil change something when I actually get the game, will remove a CC to add a single dps skill, but only after I play the game with my build and it proves me that it is not right.

well, the point of a discussion is to open mind (or change), which you did... I WILL change the build, but first, I need to see with my own eyes, if my build is really missing the single target (which is apparently). But again, I dont even have beta to get a feeling of the game and I appreciate those who have played to criticize my build.
Keep in mind that is difficult for most of us here, who dont have beta access, to really post a complete build
I just need visual/practical proof that it sucks at the moment lol

Yea... I have seen a lot of people talking about Firebats. Whenever I get the chance to play the game I am gonna try it...

of course. which is why this is all theorycrafting at this point. so its all theoretical. and theoretically you will definitely need some single target deepz. once the game comes out all these build ideas will be proven right and wrong and then people can start posting actual results of their builds and prove it.

There has been some theory craft around Witch Doctor. Most of the things said is that they're not a PvP class. Well, I assume that's why you meant that.
If you will roll Witch Doctor you will have a great advantage for helping your team "Hexing" enemy targets. But simply that is it. The rest of your spells is to PvE.
Your info is obviously using the old skills since the new stuff just come out. However, I remember one thing about the old skills in particular that I discovered. Poison dart (Snake to the face) used to have 100% chance to stun for like 4 seconds, and of course its spammable. Obviously that is ridiculous OP in PvP, and so it was changed in the newest patch.
So yah, anyways long story short the people doing that theorycrafting must of have been completely retarded.

One is never hurt by being given additional choices, only by taking them away. A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
Acid rain's power comes from the fact that it is cast "upon a spot" and as a good casting range. Most WD spells are projectiles that will stop at the first thing they hit. Acid rain can allow you to hit a target even if there is a big pack of mobs between you and this target.
It's usefullness will be noticeable when you will be up against powerful ranged units protected by pack of trash mobs. For exemple, a demon caster which would have the ability to bring dead demons back to life and that would be defended by a pack of meele demons . Without a "cast on the spot" spell like acid rain, you would need to find your way around the big pack of meele mobs to kill down the caster. Appart from this usefullness, acid rain as a poor damage/mana ratio and should not be a spell to rely on.

Or you could lure the melee mobs out, kill them and kill the caster later....much safer, much easier, and you dont have to put a terribad skill on your bar.

That would depend on the situation i would guess. I am not a fan of acid rain myself, but i can figure out how it could come handy to me (used with grasp of the dead and fire bomb). We could find some usefullness to this spell even if it's only for a quarter of an act.
Don't forget that the people who will rule this game won't rely upon 1 build. The first time they play normal, the will analyse which build would be best versus this encounter or that encounter and then make the right decisions in later stages of the game.
meh acid rain runed for 6 second pools in conjunction with GoTD is pretty good.
and corpse bomb does nice dmg and like he said its not a projectile its anywhere you cast it..... it just really doesnt fit well in many builds. its basically if you get it you have to make your build around it. you cant just throw it in like oh hey heres a good dmg spell like you can with the others.

Made this fairly quickly. The core build seems good but there probably could be still improvements/preference possibilities.
Basically, you can't perma cast "acid rain" since it costs too much. But, when you use it with DOT "frirebomb", "plague of toads" and "grasp of the dead" (GOTD/FB/POT/AR rotation), this means, you basically go down to an average of approximately 50-60 mana/sec consumption.
Cast AR
4th second: 40% + 57% + 100% + 266% from AR = 463%
This build stacks up pretty nicely with dots and gives a nice damage output in the end. I believe that this is still an occasional build but could definitely offer some great potential in some situations.

The damage output:
Cast GOTD
1st second: 40% damage with slow effect
Cast FB
2nd second: 40% + 57% from FB = 97%
Cast ROT
3rd second: 40% + 57% + 100% from ROT = 197%
Cast AR
